BREAKING: Several Democrats Turn On 'Border Czar' Kamala Harris In House Vote

On Thursday, the House of Representatives voted to condemn the Biden administration's handling of the crisis on the southern border and specifically condemn "border czar" Kamala Harris for her failure to take action on the US-Mexico border after being assigned by the president to solve the issue in 2021. The resolution, which passed 220-196, was supported by every Republican and six Democrats.

The six Democrats that joined their Republican colleagues include Reps. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA), Jared Golden (D-ME), Henry Cueller (D-TX), Mary Peltola (D-AK), Yadira Caraveo (D-CO), and Ted Davis (D-NC). The resolution, H.R. 1371, was introduced by Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) earlier this week after President Joe Biden announced his exit from the race. The vice president's handling of immigration policy under the Biden administration will be a major handicap for the presumptive Democratic nominee, given the millions of illegal immigrants that were allowed to enter the country under her watch.

"Kamala Harris' failed leadership led to the most catastrophic open border crisis in history," Stefanik said in a statement. "Biden's open border czar Kamala Harris, and every elected Democrat is responsible for this border crisis and they must all be held accountable for their role in jeopardizing our national security and turning every community into a border community. Millions of illegals have poured into our country because of the Biden-Harris Administration's unconstitutional, illegal executive actions, wiping away President Donald Trump's effective border security policies, which created the most secure border in modern history."

While multiple media outlets have attempted to cover up Kamala Harris' role as "border czar" during the Biden administration, this resolution will help to solidify that reputation, particularly with some Democrats condemning her lack of action on the southern border. Democrats are underwater on immigration, and these six Democrats, many of whom are from battleground districts, likely joined their Republican colleagues to ensure they can hold onto their seats in November. Nevertheless, their vote sends a strong message to Kamala Harris that her failure to enforce federal immigration law will have consequences.
