BREAKING: Trump Civil Trial Delayed After Health Scare

On Monday, leading Republican presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump traveled to New York City for another day in court at the defamation trial brought by E. Jean Carroll, who has accused Trump of defaming her after she came out with sexual assault allegations against him in 2019. Trump's day in court, however, didn't go as planned.

The trial was put on hold after one member of the jury had been feeling feverish after one of their parents had tested positive for COVID-19. Additionally, Trump lawyer Alina Habba told the judge that her babysitter also had similar symptoms to the juror. This led to Judge Lewis Kaplan deciding to delay the trial, given the potential exposure to COVID-19. At the time the case was delayed, both Carroll and Trump had arrived at the Manhattan courthouse and were waiting for the case to begin alongside their lawyers. 

Once the judge made his decision, Habba attempted to convince him to reschedule the next court appearance for Wednesday, a day after the New Hampshire primary. "Tomorrow is the New Hampshire primary, and I ask that his testimony be Wednesday," she said, per CNBC. The judge, however, refused to make a decision at the time.

In response to the decision, Trump took to Truth Social to wish the juror well and to once again slam the prosecutions against him. "I traveled late last night from the Great State of New Hampshire to New York to attend one of the many Crooked Joe Biden-inspired Witch Hunt trials," Trump wrote. "Despite the fact that I was there, on time and on schedule, it was just learned that one of the jurors is, unfortunately, not feeling well, and for that reason, today's session of the trial, having to do with a woman I know absolutely nothing about, has therefore been cancelled with a new date to be determined."

"Of course, all of these various 'Biden Political Opponent' trials just happen to be starting, with great purpose, in the middle of what will be the most important Election in the History of our Country," he continued. "They could have all began years ago, or years after, but, certainly not DURING the Election. In actuality, they should have never been brought at all because I have done nothing wrong. It is what it is, and I will do what I have to do, all I ask for is fair Judges and Juries, and I will win every one of them."

"These are political Scams designed for High Level Election Interference," the 45th president added, concluding, "The good news is, the people of our Country understand that better than anyone, including Crooked Joe Biden. Make America Great Again!"
