During a flight from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Cincinnati, Ohio, on Friday, Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance's (R-OH) plane was forced to make an emergency landing after the Boeing 737 had a malfunction with its door. The frightening moment comes after President Donald Trump's personal plane, the so-called 'Trump Force One,' was forced to make an emergency landing en route to a Montana rally last week.
Vance, who had just completed a campaign event with police officers in Milwaukee, boarded the 22-year-old plane with his wife, Usha, and his dog, Atlas, alongside over 40 other people, according to The Daily Mail. After the plane's pilots were made aware of the malfunction about four minutes after takeoff, they returned to Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport. Upon landing, the airport's firefighters inspected the issue and resolved the problem. The plane was on the tarmac for about an hour before returning to the air, with the pilots apologizing for causing "elevated heart rates."
"The pilot advised there was a malfunction with the door seal. After declaring an emergency, Trump Force Two returned to Milwaukee," said campaign spokeswoman Taylor Van Kirk. "As soon as the issue was resolved, the plane returned to its originally planned flight path back to Cincinnati." Vance posted earlier in the day a video of him boarding the aircraft with his wife and dog, writing, "Can't really tell in this video, but he was *not happy* about the wet metal stairs. He's doing good on the plane though. We've had two GSDs, and both of them do this thing where they find the one person who doesn't like dogs and they suck up to them."
The emergency landing comes a week after Trump's Boeing 757 plane was forced to reroute to Billings, Montana, en route to a rally in Bozeman, Montana. The campaign did not specify the issue with 'Trump Force One.' The 45th president was forced to take another aircraft for the remainder of his journey to the rally.

Why in my headline (email) does the statement "so-called" appear... "The frightening moment comes after President Donald Trump's personal plane, the so-called 'Trump Force One,' was forced to make an emergency landing "
