On Wednesday afternoon, former Fox News host and host of newly renamed 'Tucker on X' Tucker Carlson issued an important announcement ahead of his interview with 45th President Donald Trump.
The interview between Trump and Carlson will be taking place at 8:55 PM EST on X.
"On Sunday, Donald Trump announced that he would not participate in tonight's Republican candidates debate, hosted by Fox News in Milwaukee," Tucker said. "Whateer you think of Trump, he is, as of tonight, the indisputable far and away front runner in the Republican race."
"We think voters have an interest in hearing what he thinks," Carlson explained. "So when Trump approached us about having a conversation for a far larger audience than he'd receive on cable news, we happily accepted."
"That interview will air tonight in this space in 8:55. We hope you will watch," Carlson concluded.
The candidates who made the stage include Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, former Vice President Mike Pence, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), Gov. Doug Burgam (R-ND), former Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ), and former Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R-AR).
The candidates who did not make the debate include former California gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder, businessman Perry Johnson, Rep. Will Hurd (R-TX), Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, and businessman Ryan Binkley.
