WATCH: Casey DeSantis Speaks Out Against Media That Labels Her 'America's Karen' – 'We Will Not Back Down'

On Thursday, the wife of Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), Casey DeSantis, hit back against leftist media outlets that have been attacking the Florida first lady with petty insults, stating that she and her family will “not back down” against the fervent left.

Mrs. DeSantis sat alongside her husband and Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt on ‘Fox & Friends’ where the group went over a wide slew of topics. During that time, Earhardt questioned the Florida first lady on the treatment that the established media had given her during her husband's 2024 presidential campaign.

"One thing that the corporate media did get right about me, I do shop at Walmart," Casey said. "I think it's interesting, and you probably can sympathize with this, when they come after you and they're just calling you names. That means they don't want to litigate the merits of their case. They don't want to have that conversation. They want to call you names."

Mrs. DeSantis has been frequently mocked by left-leaning media that refer to her by names like “America’s Karen” on an MSNBC panel, per Fox News. 

"Casey DeSantis is a fairly compelling political figure in Florida, and now nationally. For many, she's the brighter side to Florida's angry governor. For others, she's become America's Karen. And I think that's the ultimate disconnect here with a campaign that needs to embrace more constituencies to get to the White House," David Jolly said on the broadcast.

Of course, every time one of the far-left media groups levels an insult towards her, she and her husband are always quick to respond and slam the media outlets for the low-hanging fruit that they’re swinging at. Regardless of the continued attacks against her, Casey DeSantis has made it very clear that they do nothing to stop her and her family from continuing to do what they’re aiming for. 

"They want to try to get you to back down, but I can tell you the number one thing, we will not back down when it comes to our family," she said adamantly. 

The attacks from the left on Casey DeSantis show sad hypocrisy from them. They claim that they are the pro-feminist side of the political spectrum but whenever they see a strong woman of an opposing viewpoint it becomes their inherent goal to do all they can to tear them down.

Unfortunately for the left, Casey and the DeSantis family as a whole are not so weak-willed that simple playground insults can cause any notable harm to them. The entire DeSantis family has been at the forefront of attacking the left’s harmful and extremist ideologies long before Ron ever announced his bid for the Oval Office. These little words will do nothing to halt the DeSantis trail.
