CHANGE OF HEART?: DC Mayor Requests Extension For National Guard Assistance During Wake Of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT SURGE

For years now, Democrats have demanded illegal immigrants be let into this country without vetting processes, be granted the same rights as citizens, and given every other luxury known to man for breaking our laws.

In the wake of the recent announcement by Texas GOP Governor Greg Abbott declaring he will be busing illegal immigrants to Democrat-ran cities, however, it appears the left is re-thinking their position, at least when it comes to the capital.

Surging numbers of illegal aliens coming through the Southern Border have left Texas with no choice but to head for blue cities like New York, Washington D.C., and Chicago.

Also, not shockingly, the mayors of these liberally-ran cities are enraged at the Lonestar state’s leader, for giving them a dose of their own medicine.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams (D) was one of the first to voice his opposition against Abbott, stating, “I already called all my friends in Texas and told them how to cast their votes.” The Big Apple Mayor went on to say, “I am deeply contemplating taking a busload of New Yorkers to go to Texas and do some good old-fashioned door knocking because we have to, for the good of America, we have to get him out of office.”

Sending these illegal immigrants to D.C. is simple, as it is said to be a place where many legislators happily endorse the idea of their unlawful migration presented an immediate problem for the city.

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) immediately requested the Pentagon grant her assistance via National Guard Troops, to help ease the crisis — which Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin quickly denied. Bowser, again, renewed her plea for more troops amid growing concern over the influx of illegals being bused into her city, on Thursday night.

She made the following statement on Twitter Thursday evening:

We need help from our federal partners as we seek to stabilize and manage our operating environment in this critical moment.

I have been honored to work with the men and women of the DC National Guard many times and today we renewed our request for their assistance. pic.twitter.com/FOivGilYZ5

Ironically, these cities appear to be crumbling while unable to handle these surges — justifying many of those on the right who oppose the illegal crossing of immigrants into the country without proper vetting.

It’s unclear whether or not Abbott intends to halt or slow the buses of illegal migrants, however, it can be assumed it’s precisely what these liberal mayors would be more than happy to have happen.

It isn’t currently known whether or not Bowser’s second appeal for help will be granted; but if something is not done quickly, the city will continue to veer closer to the edge — and ultimately — the brink of collapse.
