New Christian Film DOMINATES Box Office In Surprise Showing, Audiences Love It!

The Christian Film ‘Jesus Revolution’ outperformed expectations during its opening weekend, nearly doubling its anticipated earnings.

According to Box Office Pro, the studio expected the film to gross around 6-7 million dollars over its opening weekend. The film blew these expectations out of the water, grossing over 15.8 million dollars.

Jesus Revolution was the third-ranked film over the previous weekend, trailing only Universal’s ‘Cocaine Bear’ and Walt Disney’s ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.’ The budgets of both of these films were considerably higher than the budget of ‘Jesus Revolution’, making the film a major win for wholesome entertainment.

The film also played well with audiences. The film has a 99 percent audience score on the film review site ‘Rotten Tomatoes.’ It also has a 99 percent audience score on Cinema Score, making director Jon Erwin the first director to score a 99 percent audience score with CinemaScore on four separate occasions.

The film centers around the hippie movement and the Christian spiritual ‘revival’  that coincided with that movement in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

“JESUS REVOLUTION is the story of one young hippie’s quest in the 1970s for belonging and liberation that leads not only to peace, love, and rock and roll, but that sets into motion a new counterculture crusade–a Jesus Movement–changing the course of history,” Rotten Tomatoes writes. “What unfolds becomes the greatest spiritual awakening in American history. Rock and roll, newfound love, and a twist of faith lead to a JESUS REVOLUTION that turns one counterculture movement into a revival that changes the world.”

This demonstrates that audiences crave wholesome entertainment. We are through with the woke excuses for movies and TV shows the industry keeps churning out. Americans want something transcendent, something that probes at the true, the good, and the beautiful. Fortunately for America — indeed, the world at large — wholesome shows and movies are being produced to combat the woke ideology so prevalent in the culture at large. This ideology is corrosive and Americans must stand up to it every step of the way.
