Greta Thunberg seems to enjoy getting into brief altercations with the police, most recently being dragged out of another oil factory protest in Malmo, Sweden by the police in footage that surfaced on Monday.
The climate activist had previously been arrested at the same oil factory for not complying with police officers, as previously covered by the DC Enquirer. The arrest did bring charges against her that culminated in a simple fine against the young woman that is equal to roughly $240.
And that fine seemed to do very little as she headed right back to the oil factory just mere hours after receiving the ruling from the court. Thunberg had held a press conference after the fine from the court according to Fox News, saying, “According to me, we have an emergency. We cannot save the world by playing the rules.”
She also claimed that climate activists like her were “protecting life as we know it” and that it is important that “We have to remember who the real criminals are. The ones who are committing the real crime. We have truth on our side, morality on our side. And that will not change.”
It seems that Thunberg is dead set on fighting whatever measure of authority opposes her in her unrelenting fight against climate change. Of course, it’s not like there’s actually all that much opposition against Thunberg considering she has been celebrated by the United Nations multiple times and is considered a climate expert despite having no actual expertise.
Thunberg also uses these arrests to make a false narrative that there is some boogeyman fighting against her and her allies trying to end climate change. Of course, the reality of the situation is that these people do nothing to actually make notable changes and instead waste their time, the police’s time, and everyone else who gets stopped by the group’s time.
While her protests may have garnered her global attention, they make no meaningful changes to ending the supposedly ‘climate crisis’ that the world is facing. Sitting outside an oil factory and whining isn’t going to prevent the work from being done, it’s only going to piss off and annoy the workers that are simply attempting to do their job.
