HUGE: Leading Political Figures Come Out Against Trudeau, Call For Ending Vaccine Mandate For Truckers Going Across Border

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s administration has come crashing down recently, and this is in no small part due to his inept handling of the Freedom Convoy. The Freedom Convoy, it must be remembered, is a long-standing protest in the Trucking Industry directed at vaccine mandates and divisive political rhetoric. The group has occupied the Ambassador Bridge in Ottawa for over three weeks — disrupting trade in the busiest trade entry point between the US and Canada. Resultantly, the protest has had disastrous effects on the economy, making the truckers’ voices sound loud across the world.

Both sides of the aisle have criticized Trudeau’s handling of the crisis, with nearly half of Canadians feeling it disqualifies him from the job. It is easy to see why. Whatever you think about the Freedom Convoy, it is hard to deny the situation could have been handled with more grace and class from Trudeau. As the Leader of the Opposition put it:

“The prime minister calls people he disagrees with racists, misogynists. He spent the last month wedging, dividing, stigmatizing, and traumatizing Canadians. I understand the prime minister admires basic dictatorships, but let’s remind the prime minister that this is Canada, this is not a dictatorship”

These are very harsh words for the Prime Minister but words he needed to hear. If he does not heed her advice and ease up on the negative rhetoric, a red wave could be coming across Canada sooner rather than later. The ruling class is already rebelling against Trudeau, and this is not just happening in Canada. US Governors are also in the mix, and they are calling upon Trudeau and President Biden to end the vaccine mandates imposed on Truckers. Here is a transcript of the letter:

“Dear President Biden and Prime Minister Trudeau,

We are writing to request that you immediately reinstate the vaccine and quarantine exemptions available to cross-border truck drivers. We understand the vital importance of vaccines in the fight against COVID-19 and continue to encourage eligible individuals to get vaccinated. However, we are deeply concerned that terminating these exemptions has had demonstrably negative impacts on the North American supply chain, the cost of living, and access to essential products for people in both of our countries.

The timing of your decision to terminate the vaccine and quarantine exemptions could not have been worse, as North America already faces grave supply chain constraints. These restraints, combined with increasing inflation, place significant burdens on the residents of Canada and the United States.

Furthermore, transportation associations have informed us that the lack of exemptions will force thousands of drivers out of the trucking industry, which is already facing a significant workforce shortage. The removal of these exemptions is ultimately necessary, and we cannot afford to lose any more truck drivers who transport food and other vital supplies across the border.

Again, we urge you to immediately reinstate the exemption for cross-border trucker drivers. We welcome collaboration to resolve this urgent matter “

The list of signees is massive, headlined by multiple Premiers and 16 American Governors including Georgia’s Brian Kemp and South Dakota’s Kristi Noem. With a list of signees like that, perhaps Trudeau and Biden will finally be forced to listen to the voices of the truckers, as they fight for basic human liberties.
