A new Fox News poll released on Wednesday showed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (D) is gaining steam following President Joe Biden’s reelection announcement on Tuesday morning.
The poll was conducted from April 21st to the 24th and shows that RFJ Jr. has 19 percent support amongst Democrats. Last week, a poll conducted by USA Today found Kennedy at 14 percent, showing that the son of RFK is gaining steam.
Joe Biden on the other hand, the incumbent, only has 62 percent support among Democrat primary voters which is a bad sign for the 80-year-old who wants to secure a second term in the White House.
Marianne Williamson, the only other declared Democrat primary candidate, has nine percent support among voters.
Biden getting less than 70 percent support from his own party is a shocking indictment of his presidency and shows that even Democrats are unhappy with how he has led over the past two years.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Kennedy Jr. blasted Biden on Tuesday following his reelection announcement by calling for a return to the Democrat Party that actually cared for working-class Americans and not the elite.
DEMOCRAT JOE MANCHIN IS IN HOT WATER, LIKELY TO LOSE SEAT TO POWERFUL REPUBLICAN CONTENDER
“I have known and liked Joe Biden for many years, but we differ profoundly on fundamental issues such as corporate influence in government, censorship, civil liberties, poverty, corruption, and war policy, among others,” RFK Jr. said in response to Biden’s reelection announcement posted Tuesday morning.
“I look forward to engaging him in debates and town hall meetings, in a primary election that is honest, civil, and transparent,” he said, adding, “I invite him into a new era of respectful dialog in these times of division.”
“I am a multi-generational Democrat, but I think our party has gone off track,” he said. “Remember when we upheld the interests of the poor and middle class against big corporations and Wall Street?”
“Remember when we were the party of peace, civil liberties, and people power?” he asked. “I aim to reclaim my party and its traditional values.”
“The Biden administration is riddled with Neocons, war hawks, Wall Street people, and former corporate lobbyists,” Kennedy Jr. explained. “That’s what the party elite has become. But I know the rank-and-file — and the American people as a whole — don’t share their priorities. It’s time to return our party and our nation to the people. #Kennedy24”

With RFK Jr. holding nearly a fifth of the Democrat Party’s support for his candidacy, many commentators are arguing that if an even more established candidate were to enter the race, such as Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA), they would be able to unseat the aging president.
