GRAPHIC VIDEO: St. Louis Man Kills Mother And Daughter With Vehicle, Released Next Day On Bail

A 22-year-old man is out on bail just days after being charged with two counts of manslaughter and armed criminal action for speeding through a red light, striking and killing a mother and daughter. The two were on their way home from a Drake concert when their lives were tragically cut short.

Monte Henderson was arrested on February 15 after the accident which took the lives of 42-year-old mother Laticha Bracero and daughter Alyssa Cordova. The accident also injured three other individuals and damaged several cars.

Despite the severity of the actions, Henderson was free the next day after posting just 10 percent of his $200,000 bond. While officers such as Matthew Wieczorek stated in a probable cause statement he believed that the Missouri man represented a danger to the St. Louis community, Judge Annette Llewellyn didn’t seem to believe the same.

Family members of the two who met their untimely ends are not happy about how Henderson was so lightly treated after taking two lives.

“We have MANY questions and demand answers,” cousin Nicole Rivera said to KSDK-TV in St. Louis. “The police department has failed to reach out to us and the states attorney's office has provided inaccurate information. This man should NOT have been able to go home after ONLY 2 days and he took 2 lives.”

“My family is not being allowed time to grieve and we haven’t even figured out how to bring Lety and Alyssa home yet and we are at a loss as to how a man can take 2 lives and be out on bond 2 days later able to sit at home with his family.”

“We don’t know if he had a driver’s license, we don’t know if he was under the influence, we don’t know his criminal history, we don’t know if he’s a flight risk, we don’t know if he had vehicle insurance,” she continued. “My family demands accountability from everyone everywhere. The driver, the police department, the states attorneys office, the venue, traffic control etc.”

“If I’m being honest, the only way I can try to get through it is knowing that they were together because if either one of them made it, they wouldn’t have survived without the other. We want them here more than anything but if we can’t have that, of course, we want justice,” Rivera stated.
