On Wednesday, Harvard professor emeritus and renowned legal scholar Alan Dershowitz joined Newsmax's 'The Record' to discuss the growing anti-Semitism seen on college campuses as students across the country rally in sympathetic displays to Hamas terrorists following the devastating massacre of over 1,400 Israelis and 32 Americans on October 7th.
During the interview, Dershowitz explained that administrators and professors tolerated these students since, prior to October 7th, Jewish Americans were not being as significantly targeted.
He went on to explain that the names of every student who participated and signed letters that blamed the "horrible assaults on Israel" should be published to ensure that employers can know who supported a terrorist organization.
"[L]et these students who signed this demonstration blaming it all on Israel, let them go and volunteer, gay students for Palestine, in Gaza, transgender students for Palestine, in Gaza," Dershowitz said, as reported by Breitbart. "You know how long they would last? One day, they'd be hanging from the rafters."
"The best proof that this is all anti-semitism…is that these groups that they support hate gays — they hang them — hate transgender people, hate women, treat them as third-class citizens," he explained. "And yet, these protestors are willing to give them a pass on these core issues, as long as they also hate Jews and the nation-state of the Jewish people. This is Nazism [2023].”
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Harvard students have been rejected from law firms and faced additional consequences after 30 student organizations signed a letter blaming Israel for the Hamas terrorist attack.
"We, the undersigned student organizations, hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence," the student groups wrote in a letter following the attacks.
"The apartheid regime is the only one to blame," the students wrote. "Israeli violence has structured every aspect of Palestinian existence for 75 years. From systematized land seizures to routine airstrikes, arbitrary detentions to military checkpoints, and enforced family separations to targeted killings, Palestinians have been forced to live in a state of death, both slow and sudden."
Due to these statements, Ivy League students are not only facing backlash from employers but also from former Harvard President Lawrence Summers, who wrote following the publication of the letter, "In nearly 50 years of [Harvard] affiliation, I have never been as disillusioned and alienated as I am today."
"The silence from Harvard's leadership, so far, coupled with a vocal and widely reported student groups' statement blaming Israel solely, has allowed Harvard to appear at best neutral towards acts of terror against the Jewish state of Israel," he explained.
Harvard, as well as other universities like Columbia and the University of Pennsylvania, have seen donors abandon ship as the students' and professors' anti-Semitism comes to light.
