Casey DeSantis Sends Heartwarming Happy Birthday Message to Husband Ron DeSantis, Shows How Proud the Family Is of His Leadership

Casey DeSantis captured the hearts of many conservatives across the country when she made her battle with breast cancer public last year. The state of Florida, as well as the rest of the country, watched as Gov. Ron DeSantis rallied around his wife during this horrible life event. In March of this year, the prayers of many were answered and the First Lady of Florida was pronounced cancer free. 

“All of you who have given thoughts and prayers that have been given to my family and my wife, thank you for doing that. It lifted her spirits; it made a tremendous difference,” DeSantis said following the good news in March. DeSantis continued by saying, “Casey is a true fighter, and she will never, never, never give up,” DC Enquirer reported.

In honor of Gov. DeSantis, the popular First lady of Florida, posted on Twitter today, “Happy Birthday, Dad! We are so proud of you, your leadership, defending the rights and liberties of all Floridians, and for being a beacon of hope to the world that the idea of America continues to shine brightly in Florida.” 

This isn’t the first time the First Lady has publicly praised her husband. Back in May, while speaking at an event for cancer research, she told the crowd, “He’s picked me up literally and figuratively throughout this process. When the bad news was pouring in, it seems like a barrage of bad news. Those that have been diagnosed with cancer know what it feels like. You go in and do a test, and then you wait. And then you get the news. And then you do another test, and you wait. And then you get the news. And he stood by me the entire time. And not only did he do that, he never missed a chemotherapy appointment. Six of those. Sitting there, very uncomfortable and he held my hand through everything,” she explained while remembering her battle with cancer.

This uplifting birthday message was followed by many others wishing the governor a happy birthday. Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) wrote on Twitter, “Governor @RonDeSantisFL is a fighter and champion for our freedoms. I am incredibly blessed to call him my governor. Join me in celebrating his birthday today by signing the card and thanking him for his leadership.”

Republican nominee for Florida’s 7th Congressional District, Cory Mills,  also wished the governor a happy birthday writing,“Happy Birthday to America’s Governor @GovRonDeSantis Florida is blessed to have his leadership. #FloridaIsAmerica.”

In the midst of an ongoing political battle it’s good to see some positive messages being promoted on social media. A family staying unified through hard times and publicly praising each other is most definitely a sight for sore eyes.
