Following the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, Americans across the country have demanded answers. On Wednesday, a federal magistrate judge ordered the Department of Justice (DOJ) to respond to requests for making the warrant that was used to justify the raid — open to the public.
Federal Judge Bruce Reinhart, who originally signed off on the warrant, ordered the DOJ to “file a Response to Motion to Unseal,” in hopes of revealing the obscured details.
The Justice Department must respond no later than August 15th, as Judicial Watch — a conservative legal action group — has requested to unseal the warrant.

The raid on Mar-A-Lago, conducted Monday night while the former president was in New York, was carried out by 30 FBI agents — who searched the premises for any leftover documents from the National Archives and Records Administration, deemed to be classified from amongst 15 boxes of mementos, documents, and letters that Trump took with him — to his estate after leaving the White House.
“In early June, the DOJ and FBI asked my legal representatives to put an extra lock on the door leading to the place where boxes were stored in Mar-a-Lago – We agreed. They were shown the secured area, and the boxes themselves,” Trump said of the documents. “Then on Monday, without notification or warning, an army of agents broke into Mar-a-Lago, went to the same storage area, and ripped open the lock that they had asked to be installed. A surprise attack, POLITICS, and all the while our Country is going to HELL!”
The former president, and other prominent Republicans like Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), have theorized that the FBI could have potentially “planted” evidence at Mar-A-Lago, during the search for classified materials.
“The FBI and others from the Federal Government would not let anyone, including my lawyers, be anywhere near the areas that were rummaged and otherwise looked at during the raid on Mar-a-Lago,” Trump stated, adding, “Everyone was asked to leave the premises, they wanted to be left alone, without any witnesses to see what they were doing, taking or, hopefully not, “planting.” Why did they STRONGLY insist on having nobody watching them, everybody out? Obama and Clinton were never “raided,” despite big disputes!”
The raid itself has rallied the GOP to Trump’s side, with many calling for counter investigations and additional hearings into the FBI and DOJ’s actions. Specifically, what the agencies used to justify said raid — as some have argued the executive agencies have been politicized in an effort to delegitimize the potential 2024 presidential candidate, and potentially stopping him from running by slamming him with legal action.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters Tuesday the White House wasn’t aware of the FBI raid before it happened, which seems highly suspect and unlikely.
“What I can tell you definitively and for sure,” she began. “[Biden] was not aware of this. He was — we were — nobody in the White House was. We were not given a heads up, and we did not know about — about what happened yesterday.”
While the White House disavows any knowledge of the raid, FBI Director Christopher Wray would have likely been briefed about the operation before it was carried out — which led the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio), to issue a letter to Wray, requesting that he provide much-needed answers.
“In the history of our country, this action is unprecedented,” the Ohio congressman explained. “As the Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, I am unaware of any actual or alleged national security threat posed by any information, data, or documents in the possession of former President Trump.”
“Congress deserves immediate answers from you as to the actions you ordered,” he added “I hereby request an immediate briefing by you to Members of the House Permanent Select committee on Intelligence concerning any national security threats used to justify your decision.”
Whether or not Wray and other DOJ officials are forthcoming with information on the matter, the public release of the FBI warrant used that night, may provide answers for some American seeking truth.
The DOJ is being forced to release the warrant publicly by Aug. 15th. In the meantime, however, Americans should continue to demand transparency from the nation’s bureaucrats to determine their true motives and intentions.
Additionally, if it’s discovered our so-called leaders have shirked their duties to America and failed to live up to their leviathan with the people, well — that’s what midterm elections were made for. Go vote.
