A new poll from Emerson College revealed that presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump's chances for winning back the White House in November remain strong. The American people reject the far-left progressive policies of the Biden administration in favor of the America First policies that were the centerpiece of Trump's first term.
According to the poll, Trump is leading Biden in every single swing state despite the four indictments brought against him by left-wing prosecutors across the country. The poll from April 25-29 with 1,000 registered voters found that Trump's biggest lead was in North Carolina, where he led Biden by five points, 47 percent to 42 percent. The 45th president also led in the other swing states by a few points, some within the margin of error of three percent.
Emerson College found that Trump led in Arizona by four points (48 percent to 44 percent), Georgia by three points (47 percent to 44 percent), Wisconsin by two points (47 percent to 45 percent), Pennsylvania by two points (47 percent to 45 percent), Nevada by one point (45 percent to 44 percent), and Michigan by one point (45 percent to 44 percent).
Biden's lackluster performance in the seven swing states comes after a recent survey from Gallup found that the 81-year-old Democrat has the lowest approval rating of any modern president. In the 13th quarter of his presidency, Biden only has the approval of 38.7 percent of the country. This is in stark contrast to some of his predecessors at the same point in their term, with Trump at 46.8 percent approval, Obama at 45.9 percent approval, George W. Bush at 51 percent approval, Clinton at 53 percent approval, George H. W. Bush at 41.8 percent approval, Reagan at 54.8 percent approval, Carter at 47.7 percent approval, Nixon at 53.7 percent approval, and Eisenhower at a stunning 73.2 percent approval.
Biden's record-low approval rating corresponds with other recent polls that showed that Americans view Trump's presidency as more successful than Biden's. As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, a recent CNN poll found that 55 percent of respondents consider Trump's presidency a success, while only 44 percent view it as a failure. In stark contrast, Biden's term is viewed far more pessimistically, with a mere 39 percent agreeing that his term has been successful, while a staggering 61 percent believe it's been a failure.
The American people have had enough with a Biden White House intent on pushing open borders, foreign wars, and transgenderism. Hard-working Americans miss the economic prosperity and global stability seen under President Trump, and in November, they will remember Biden's multitude of failures at the ballot box.
