On Thursday, a group of older men from the United Kingdom, even some retired, decimated a team made up of former U.S. women's soccer players in a 12-0 blowout game as part of an independent soccer tournament that was being hosted in North Carolina.
The Wrexham men’s team was composed of both current players as well as retired ex-athletes who were upwards of forty years old. The men took on the team of U.S. women that was coached by famous U.S. women’s soccer player Mia Hamm, who played for the U.S. nationals women's team from 1987 to 2004. According to GiveMeSport, the female team was made up of former U.S. National Women’s Team players.
Before the game, the women were confident about themselves with player Heather O’Reilly stating that the men’s team was “about to go down.” Unfortunately for them, the only thing that would be going down was their self-esteem as the men’s team completely dominated the women’s team.
The men managed to secure four goals within the first 14 minutes of the 40-minute game, getting seven by halftime and twelve before the end of the game. The female team was able to play an extremely consistent game, scoring zero goals in both the first and second half.“This message is for Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) & @RMcElhenney!”@HeatherOReilly had some words for the @Wrexham_AFC owners. 👀 pic.twitter.com/SUdR3YqI8d

O’Reilly heavily changed her tune following the complete destruction the women’s team faced, saying she and her team were “super proud” of what they were able to accomplish. "What's the worst that could happen? We lose 16-0 to Wrexham? We don't care because we're living, we're being bold, we're being brave," she continued.

The loss eliminates the female-only team from “The Soccer Tournament,” which is held in a similar style to the World Cup. The event was sponsored by the founders of “The Basketball Tournament” and offered a $1 million prize to the winning team, per their official website. The win for the Wrexham team allows them to proceed to the finals that will take place on Sunday, June 4th.
It’s clear that men and women have different capabilities when it comes to physicality, and a team of elite females being entirely unable to score even a single goal against a team of male players should be able to fully illustrate that for even the most thick-headed individuals. No amount of pushing woke ideologies and rewriting history will ever change the simple biological facts that men and women are capable of different things.
