WATCH: After Viral Presidential Ad, Elon Musk Comes Out In Support Of Republican Tim Scott's Message To America

On Friday, billionaire Elon Musk praised Republican Senator and new 2024 GOP presidential nominee Tim Scott (R-SC) for his political ad, calling it a “great statement.”

Scott just filed his paperwork on Friday, officially making himself a Republican primary candidate, per Fox News. The candidate is launching a $6 million ad campaign in notable presidential primary states ahead of his official planned announcement, which is set to be on Monday, May 22nd.

The South Carolina Democratic Party chair, Christale Spain, released a statement on the announcement.

"Here in South Carolina, we know how dangerous Tea Party extremist Tim Scott is, and based on the last few weeks, the rest of America is finding out too," Spain said in the statement. "From promising to sign the most conservative abortion ban possible as president, to doubling down on his role as ‘architect’ of the 2017 GOP tax scam that pushed tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy at the expense of working families, Scott has proven himself to be just as MAGA as the rest of the 2024 field."

The ad released by Scott features the South Carolina resident talking about the changes he’d bring to the country and the negative culture that is being cultivated by the political left.

“Today's kids are growing up immersed in a culture where everyone is a victim. We have to start teaching the necessity of individual responsibility,” Scott said in the ad. “If you’re able-bodied, you work. If you take out a loan, ya pay it back. If you commit a violent crime, ya go to jail. Can I get an Amen?”

Musk shared his positive opinion of the ad on his Twitter, praising the message Scott shared in the video. It’s not much of a surprise to see the Tesla CEO favoring someone on the political right, as just recently Musk was complaining about Biden, saying he wants a “normal human being as president,” per the DC Enquirer.

Tim Scott’s presidential primary candidates add to the growing list of Republicans attempting to claim that spot. The competition is steep, with Trump holding a major lead and DeSantis also holding a notable gap, but the candidacy can still belong to anyone.

While Scott remains to be polling in the single digits, his attempt to bring faith back into the American political conversation is a welcome one.
