Are agents of the FBI forgoing their duty to probe cases of potential child endangerment in order to prioritize pushing a political agenda? According to one whistleblower from the organization, the situation is so bad that agents are now being “told that child sexual abuse material investigations were no longer an FBI priority” in order to prioritize further investigations pertaining to protests that occurred at the United States Capitol on January 6th, 2021.
These damning statements by the whistleblower came from a letter written by Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee Jim Jordan, in which he described some of the allegations.
“We continue to hear from brave whistleblowers about disturbing conduct at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, including politicization within the Washington Field Office (WFO),” Jordan (R-OH) wrote in the beginning of the letter. “On July 27, 2022, we wrote to you about protected whistleblower disclosures that FBI officials including an Assistant Special Agent in Charge from the WFO-were pressuring agents to reclassify cases as ‘domestic violent extremism’ (DVEs) even if the cases do not meet the criteria for such a classification.”

Congressman Jordan released the letter Monday, addressing it to FBI Director Christopher Wray while also Ccing Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY).
“The whistleblower disclosed that the FBI is sacrificing its other important federal law-enforcement duties to pursue January 6 investigations,” wrote Jordan. “The whistleblower recalled, for example, being ‘told that child sexual abuse material investigations were no longer an FBI priority and should be referred to local law enforcement agencies.”
The Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee pulled no punches, writing that such behavior by the FBI “is a grave disservice to the victims of child sexual abuse and other crimes that do not advance the FBI leadership’s political agenda.”
Jordan additionally appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight to discuss the whistleblower’s allegations and told Carlson that the FBI is “juicing the numbers and cooking the books.” He also claimed that the whistleblower is already facing retaliation for his actions, which is a blatant violation of federal law, according to his letter.

The Ohio congressman made a point to say that he believes the “overwhelming majority of front-line FBI special agents and employees are dedicated law-enforcement officers committed to protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution,” but that numerous whistleblowers have described a ‘rotted’ culture in the agency’s top leadership.
“Contrary to your belief, the FBI is not immune to oversight or accountability,” the letter asserted.
Jordan spoke passionately during his appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight, urging the American people to vote Republican during midterms in order to put a check on what he described as blatantly partisan actions by the FBI.
“This election is critical when it comes to America’s freedoms, liberties, and the bill of rights,” he concluded.
