A new poll released from Yahoo News/You Gov has found that 45th President Donald Trump is dominating in the polls for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination following the announcement that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) will be indicting Trump.
The survey, which was conducted on Friday, had a polling size of 1,089 adults and has a margin of error of 3.3 percent.
In the poll, 57 percent of respondents said that they would vote for Trump in the Republican primary whereas only 31 percent said they’d support Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL).
Trump increased his lead by a stunning ten points from the previous Yahoo/You Gov survey taken in mid-March.
That survey found that Trump had 47 percent support while DeSantis was at 39 percent, as reported by Breitbart.
Given his immense lead in the polls, Republican voters will be watching to see what happens when he surrenders to New York City authorities on Tuesday.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Trump is expected to give remarks on Tuesday evening at Mar-a-Lago following his trip to Manhattan.
The news comes via a press release that explains that Trump will give remarks at 8:15 p.m. at Mar-a-Lago.
”President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, will deliver remarks at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida on Tuesday April 4, 2023, at 8:15PM EDT,” the release explains.
The news confirms that Trump will be traveling back to Florida after surrendering to authorities on Tuesday morning in New York. Trump is expected to travel to Manhattan, his former home, on Monday.
Given the unprecedented and unjustified indictment of President Trump, it is likely that he will sail into obtaining the Republican nomination and launch a general election campaign in 2024.
