Gavin Newsom SEETHES Over Target Rolling Back Pride Merchandise, Sounds False Alarm Over Justified Boycott

Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) is trying to claim that the CEO of Target is “selling out the LGBTQ+ community to extremists” after the retailers began to pull products that were gay- and trans-related from their shelves after customers began to threaten boycotts of the store.

Target recently released their ‘Pride’ collection ahead of June’s pride month, featuring disgusting clothing such as tuck-friendly swimsuits and clothing aimed towards toddlers, per the DC Enquirer. The entire collection can only be seen as a blatant attack on traditional values, even having some of the products designed by an open satanist, per the DC Enquirer.

Given the recent fiasco companies have been facing for pushing the LGBTQ agenda onto their customers, Target has begun to backtrack on the collection. On Wednesday, Target issued a statement about its ‘Pride’ collection and changes that they would be making to it, per DC Enquirer. 

"For more than a decade, Target has offered an assortment of products aimed at celebrating Pride Month," the company said in a statement. "Since introducing this year's collection, we've experienced threats impacting our team members' sense of safety and well-being while at work."

"Given these volatile circumstances, we are making adjustments to our plans, including removing items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior," the company continued. "Our focus now is on moving forward with our continuing commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community and standing with them as we celebrate Pride Month and throughout the year."

Despite the move being entirely just and reasonable from Target, they have faced backlash from the other side of the aisle, seemingly in a middle ground where no one is happy. Governor Gavin Newsom put out a tweet attacking the store for pulling the merchandise, claiming that extremists would begin attacking other minority groups. 

“CEO of Target Brian Cornell selling out the LGBTQ+ community to extremists is a real profile in courage. This isn’t just a couple stores in the South. There is a systematic attack on the gay community happening across the country. Wake up America. This doesn’t stop here. You’re black? You’re Asian? You’re Jewish? You’re a woman? You’re next,” he wrote in a tweet.

The tweet is very concerning, in many ways attempting to push an alarmist agenda that very much isn’t real. The idea that conservatives have a concern about a multi-billion dollar company selling merchandise that promotes Satan and homosexuality to kids is reasonable and shows no other aspects of being aggressive.

Somehow, Newsom has taken these just concerns and twisted them into this movement aimed at destroying anything that isn’t the majority. The California governor is actively working to divide people and put Americans at each other's throats over something that never had that intent. 

Newsom’s tweet is concerning and represents the extremes the left will go to villainize the right for simply having concerns about the woke ideology being forced forward.
