‘Go F*ck Yourselves You Dishonest Jokes’: Megyn Kelly Torches ‘Morning Joe’ Hosts After ‘180’ About Trump

Megyn Kelly called out “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Monday after they did a “180” on their views of President-elect Donald Trump.

After the hosts and a handful of their guests repeatedly likened Trump to Adolf Hitler and alleged he would be a fascist dictator, Scarborough and Brzezinski announced Monday that they had visited Trump in a face-to-face meeting at Mar-a-Lago for the first time in several years. On “The Megyn Kelly Show,” the SiriusXM host began by highlighting how the MSNBC hosts had pushed fears of a second Trump administration, telling them to “fuck off” for their alleged insincerity.

“That is where we are beginning today with the absolutely ridiculous pair on the MSNBC morning show, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski,” Kelly said. “How long have they been telling us that he’s an existential threat, that he’s a Hitler-esque figure, that he’s a fascist, that women will die, will die if he gets elected? Well, they’ve done a 180. They’ve done a 180 as their ratings circle the bowl.”

“I searched for a way to respond appropriately, and I called on my 10 years as a litigator in addition to my now 20 as a journalist,” Kelly said. “I think I found the perfect phrase. Go fuck yourselves. Go fuck yourselves, you dishonest jokes of faux journalists. What an absurd farce that was, Glenn. Which one was insincere? He’s Hitler or now we’re gonna speak truth to power and find a way of speaking to and working with Donald Trump? Which one was a lie?”

Guest and independent journalist Glenn Greenwald then jumped in to state how the MSNBC hosts take the “crown” for being one of the most “humiliated and pathetic” pair in corporate media.

“This is not hyperbole. I’ve given actual thought to this. I’ve done rankings. Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski are the most humiliated and pathetic people on all of corporate media,” Greenwald said. “I realize there’s a lot of serious contenders for that crown. So if other people have someone they wanna slot in number one, I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s unreasonable.”

“But the thing about them is, unlike other people in the media who have been completely unhinged about Trump being Hitler, Trump being in bed with Putin, the Steel [Dossier], all of that, those people actually believe it. Like, they’re that insane. Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski don’t believe in anything other than their own career and their own ratings,” Greenwald added.

Kelly then played a series of clips pointing out how Scarborough and Brzezinski had been supporters of Trump during his first campaign. However, they later turned against the former president after he announced Scarborough would not be his running mate.

“These two, yes, worked day and night to try to get Trump the nomination back in 15, 16. They embarrassed themselves and sacrificed any pretense of journalistic ethics in doing it. It was true bootlicking,” Kelly said.

“They’re so disgusting. OK, and then what happened was Joe Scarborough found out he was not going to be the vice presidential running mate,” Kelly said. “He had been rejected for that position and they turned. They turned on Trump because access to power is everything to that small little man.”

The two hosts told their viewers that they had requested to meet with Trump following concerns and pushback from Democrats regarding a handful of his Cabinet picks. The three discussed domestic issues including abortion, illegal immigration and the use of institutions against political opponents, noting there was also an expressed interest to “restart communications.”
