Congressman August Pfluger (R-TX) was rendered "speechless," by a senior leader at the FBI who testified before the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence. The official's confession to him was something unimaginable: she never read the Durham report. Potentially the most consequential investigation into the FBI's conduct since the days of J. Edgar Hoover, and she just hadn't "had time," in the week or so since its release.
As reported by The Epoch Times, Pfluger, as chair of the committee, was questioning Jill Murphy, the deputy assistant director of counterintelligence at the FBI, on May 23rd. He appeared to find himself somewhat flabbergasted during the hearing by Murphy's response.
Pfluger began by explaining, "Special Counsel Durham assesses that neither U.S. law enforcement nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation," referring to the illegally conducted investigation into baseless allegations against 45th President Donald Trump and his campaign for 'colluding' with Russia.
He told Murphy, "The bureau subsequently discounted or willfully ignored material that did not support the narrative of a collusive relationship between Trump and Russia." He then asked her, "As the deputy assistant director for the FBI Counterintelligence Division, are you familiar with this report?"
Murphy shockingly told the congressman, "I have not read that report."
Pfluger seemed to be at a loss telling the deputy director, “I’m honestly speechless at this point in time." Pressed for an answer as to how she could be unfamiliar with such a pivotal report Murphy replied, "I just haven’t had time."
The congressman then appeared to find his words again and asked Murphy, "This is a sincere question. Does election collusion worry you?” To which the deputy director replied that it "obviously" worried her.
'THIS WAS A COUP' - TRUMP REACTS TO DURHAM REPORT ON THE DAN BONGINO SHOW
"I would highly recommend reading that because we spent four years discussing that," the congressman said. "There was uncorroborated evidence—the Durham report specifically outlines the outcome of that. It’s very disappointing to hear this."
As was previously reported by DC Enquirer, the final report of the Durham probe provided an in-depth examination of the failure of the bureau when it relied upon false documentation without a trace of evidence to initiate an inherently illegal investigation into the 45th President of the United States Donald J. Trump. Special Counsel Durham found that the FBI "relied on 'raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence,'" adding, "The objective facts show that the FBI’s handling of important aspects of the Crossfire Hurricane matter were seriously deficient."
At the time of the release, Trump said in a statement, "The American Public was scammed." He added, "The Durham Report spells out in great detail the Democrat Hoax that was perpetrated upon me and the American people. This is 2020 Presidential Election Fraud, just like ‘stuffing’ the ballot boxes, only more so."
