'HE IS GOING NOWHERE': Donald Trump Issues Epic Takedown Of The 'Worst Governor In The History Of New Jersey' Chris Christie

On Tuesday, leading 2024 Republican presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump issued a new statement on former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R-NJ) as the candidate continues to fail to catch up to Trump in the polls despite his repeated attacks.

"Sloppy Chris Christie, who was rated the Worst Governor in the History of New Jersey, had the lowest approval rating, 8%, had 11 straight downgrades of New Jersey Bonds, a record, was thrown out of New Hampshire after his last debate, and endlessly suffered from the horrible and never ending Bridgegate scandal, SHOULD DROP OUT OF THE RACE," Trump wrote on Truth.

"HE IS GOING NOWHERE AND IS VERY BAD FOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!" Trump added.

Christie, who many have seen as an attack dog in the presidential race, failed to shine during last week's presidential debate. He did have some notable spats with businessman Vivek Ramaswamy (R-OH) but he was unsuccessful in replicating the takedown that he was known for when he ended Sen. Marco Rubio's (R-FL) presidential campaign in 2016.

According to the Real Clear Politics polling average, President Trump is dominating the field with 53.9 percent support of the GOP while his closest opponent, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), is 40 points behind at 13.1 percent.

Chris Christie is doing far worse, however, than the governor of the Sunshine State with the New Jerseyian only securing 2.7 percent support nationally. He is beat out by a host of other candidates including Ramaswamy, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley (R-SC), and former Vice President Mike Pence (R-IN).

The only early primary state where Christie even has a shot at taking a sizeable chunk of the electorate is New Hampshire, however, Trump is still far ahead in that contest, per Real Clear Politics.

In the Granite State, Trump has 44.3 percent support while Gov. DeSantis has 13.3 percent, Christie has eight percent, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) has 7.5 percent, Ramaswamy has 6.0 percent, and Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND) has 4.5 percent. With such abysmal numbers, the contest in New Hampshire is highly likely to be won by President Trump.

Chris Christie's presence in the race is to solely handicap the Trump campaign and go on an endless tirade against the current frontrunner of the Republican Party. Trump was right to skip the first debate in order to deprive Christie of the target he wanted to spend his ammunition on. Without being able to attack Trump one-on-one, Christie is once again going to fade out of the race with minimal support.
