Here Are The Republican Lawmakers Who Voted To Expel George Santos

On Friday, the House of Representatives voted to expel Rep. George Santos (R-NY) after the New York lawmaker was revealed to have lied to his constituents about his past and following an ethics investigation that found that he broke a number of federal laws. Santos is currently under investigation by the Department of Justice for defrauding his donors and the Republican Party. He has been charged with multiple criminal counts, including identity theft, theft of public funds, and money laundering related to campaign donations.

Ahead of the expulsion vote, Santos told his colleagues during a House floor speech that "I will not stand by quietly. The people of the 3rd District of New York sent me here. If they want me out, you're going to have to go silence those people and go take the hard vote." Despite his best efforts to defend himself, Santos was expelled in a bipartisan vote of 311 in favor, 114 against, and two voting present. Of those voting in favor, 105 were Republicans. Every Democrat but two voted in favor of the meausre.

In response to the vote, conservative commentators blasted Republicans for siding with Democrats to expel the embattled congressman while the country continues to fall apart. "Santos is a clown. But a clown that voted conservative. And Congress is full of clowns. Republicans are hell-bent on losing. They are completely worthless," TPUSA CEO Charlie Kirk wrote on X/Twitter. "The GOP is not party that wants to win - they want to lose while not being called bad names."

"They won't expel Swalwell, Schiff, Omar, Tlaib, Bowman for actual treason, but they'll expel Santos," wrote LibsOfTikTok founder Chaya Raichik. "This is why we lose. I'm so sick of cowardly and spineless Republicans!!!!"

With a super small majority, Republicans had the BALLS and the INTEGRITY to dump a member of their conference. That is something Democraps never do. On another matter, FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA, HAMAS MUST CEASE TO BE!
