Hillary Clinton Claims Trump Will 'Rant And Rave' During Debate, Gives Advice To President Biden

In a New York Times opinion piece published on Tuesday, former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton explained to readers what she's looking out for in the upcoming CNN debate on Thursday and the advice she would give to President Joe Biden as he prepares to face presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump.

Clinton, the only person to have debated Trump in 2016 and Biden in 2008, argued that Trump has become "angrier and more unhinged" following the 2020 election and explained that it would be a waste of time for Bidne to attempt to refute Trump's arguments. "It is a waste of time to try to refute Mr. Trump's arguments like in a normal debate. It's nearly impossible to identify what his arguments even are," Clinton claimed. "He starts with nonsense and then digresses into blather."

The former presidential candidate then explained that Trump would "rant and rave" to avoid answering questions directly and that the 81-year-old President Biden needs to be forceful and direct to challenge the 45th president, similar to how he treated Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) during the State of the Union address earlier this year.

The former Democratic nominee then gave advice to debate viewers, who would be tuning in for the first time in four years to view a rematch between Biden and Trump. She said that viewers should "pay attention to how the candidates talk about people, not just policies" and that Biden should emphasize the impact of state abortion bans on the electorate.

Hillary explained that the audience should also focus on the "fundamentals at stake" with an emphasis on democratic institutions and January 6. Lastly, she stated that voters should understand that the presidential race is "between chaos and competence" and that President Biden is "a wise and decent man" while President Trump is a convicted felon.

Hillary Clinton's advice to President Biden and the American voters tuning in to the first presidential debate revolves around the key Democrat talking points being pushed this election cycle. Given President Biden's horrendous record on the economy, the border, foreign affairs, and domestic issues, the Democrats can only run against someone and not for something. The three-pronged approach of the Biden campaign revolves around abortion, Trump's status as a convicted felon, and the protection of "our democracy."  Meanwhile, hard-working Americans are being crushed by inflation, murdered by illegal immigrants, and being humiliated due to Biden's failures abroad. The choice in November is clear, and the debate will prove it.
