House Republicans Introduce Bill To Punish SCOTUS Leakers

The SCOTUS leaker is an absolute coward. They violated all rules of decorum and precedent. Indeed, they operated in a spirit of wickedness, and as such, they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. We fully await to see what happens in the upcoming investigation.

Our judicial branch should not be swayed by outside circumstances. We do not know the motive of the leaker pervasively — there are many competing theories. But one thing is for sure — we cannot let leaks like this happen again.

Some think they are a conservative. Still, others argue they are a liberal, one concerned about the erosion of “abortion rights”, improperly so-called. Whatever the case, Republicans are taking action to make sure this never happens again. And we are here for it!

As The Daily Caller reports, Louisiana Rep Mike Johnson has introduced a new bill to make sure future SCOTUS leaks will not be ignored. Per the Daily Caller, the following people co-signed the bill: New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, West Virginia Rep. David McKinley, Illinois Rep. Mary Miller, Oklahoma Rep. Markwayne Mullin, Wisconsin Rep. Tom Tiffany, Wisconsin Rep. Scott Fitzgerald, Utah Rep. Burgess Owens, North Carolina Rep. Dan Bishop, Indiana Rep. Victoria Spartz, Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert and Virginia Rep. Bob Good.

That is quite the list. It shows there is a wide Republican consensus that the SCOTUS leak was wrong. Unfortunately, the Democrats do not seem to agree.

Mike Johnson argued the SCOTUS leak is a very relevant political reality and one that needs to be addressed immediately:

“The possibility that individual states may again be allowed to restrict the abortion of unborn children has enraged the Left and sparked an unprecedented intimidation campaign to try to influence the pending Court decision. Our legislation can help prevent these unlawful tactics in the future and help preserve the necessary independence of our judiciary”

Johnson is absolutely correct. The Left is angry that conservatives have regained their state rights to determine their own abortion laws. That goes against their authoritarian regime, so they will senselessly attack the draft opinion at all costs. In the future, we need to deter future leaks from happening. ‘Never again!’, we the American people say.
