Hunter Biden Received Foreign Payment From Kazak Oligarch To Pay For Luxury Sports Car

On Wednesday, House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) released new bank records that belong to the Biden family showing that they took funds from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine totaling over $20 million. Perhaps more scandalous, a Kazakhstani businessman allegeldy provided the funds for Hunter Biden to purchase a sports care totaling over $140,000.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Hunter Biden was used throughout Biden's tenure as vice president via his firm Rosemont Seneca Partners to travel the world and create lucrative relationships with foreign businessmen in exchange for access to 'the brand' which has been described as access to then-Vice President Joe Biden.

According to a memo released by the House Oversight Committee, Hunter Biden met with Kazak multimillionaire Kenes Rakishev in a Washington D.C. hotel in February 2014.

Rakishev, who is known to have close ties to Kazak Prime Minister Karim Massimov, wired $142,300 to Rosemont Seneca Bohai. Following this wire transfer, a payment was made by that same company for a sportscar for Hunter Biden in the exact amount of $142,300.

In exchange for the Kazak's funds to purchase the vehicle, Hunter Biden and his business partner Devon Archer, who testified in a closed door session with the House Oversight Committee last week, visited Kazakhstan in June 2014 to "evaluate a three-way deal among Burisma, a Chinese state-owned company, and the government of Kazakhstan."

In addition to these payments disclosed by Chairman Comer, the memo also documents two other payments wired to Biden and Archer via Rosemont Seneca.

One such example of these payments took place in Fenruary 2014 when a Russian oligarch sent $3.5 million to a shell company associated with Hunter and Devon.

"Russian billionaire Yelena Baturina transferred $3.5 million to Rosemont Seneca Thornton, a shell company. Approximately $1 million was transferred to Devon Archer, and the remainder was used to initially fund a new company account, Rosemont Seneca Bohai, which Devon Archer and Hunter Biden used to receive other foreign wires," the report explains.

Another instance in spring 2014 led to a Ukrainian oligarch placing both Archer and Biden on the board of Burisma Holdings which came with a $1 million salary per year.

"Burisma Holdings’ (Burisma) corporate secretary, Vadym Pozharsky, worked on behalf of the Ukrainian oligarch and owner of Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky. Hunter Biden was initially hired by Burisma to work as counsel for the company, and Pozharsky and Zlochevsky met with Hunter Biden at a conference in Lake Como in Italy where they decided Hunter Biden would work on the board of directors with Devon Archer," the Oversight Committee wrote in its memo. "Then-Vice President Joe Biden visited Ukraine soon after their first payments. Payments from Burisma for both Devon Archer and Hunter Biden were wired to Rosemont Seneca Bohai.  Payments were transmitted in incremental amounts to Hunter Biden’s different bank accounts."

The blockbuster report concludes by explaining that Hunter received millions from Yelena Baturina, Burisma, and Kenes Rakishev, all of whom enjoyed a infamous dinner with then-Vice President Joe Biden in the spring of 2014 and 2015 in Washington D.C.

In response to the findings, Chairman Comer outlined how 'the brand' was sold around the world in order to financially benefit the Biden family.

“During Joe Biden’s vice presidency, Hunter Biden sold him as ‘the brand’ to reap millions from oligarchs in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine. It appears no real services were provided other than access to the Biden network, including Joe Biden himself. And Hunter Biden seems to have delivered. This is made clear by meals at Café Milano where then-Vice President Joe Biden dined with oligarchs from around the world who had sent money to his son,” said Chairman Comer. “It’s clear Joe Biden knew about his son’s business dealings and allowed himself to be ‘the brand’ sold to enrich the Biden family while he was Vice President of the United States. The House Oversight Committee will continue to follow the money trail and obtain witness testimony to determine whether foreign actors targeted the Bidens, President Biden is compromised or corrupt, and our national security is threatened.”

Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) also responded to the new findings, writing on Twitter, "The ongoing investigation from [GOP Oversight] reveals the Bidens took over $20 million from oligarchs in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine while Joe Biden was VP." McCarthy went on to explain that the Biden's business model was focused on getting rich from foreign money, evade taxes, and prosecute political rivals.
