'Hunter Biden Will Get Subpoenaed': Kevin McCarthy Gives EXPLOSIVE Interview - Says DeSantis Is 'Not At The Same Level' As Trump

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) confirmed that Hunter Biden will be subpoenaed whenever it’s time for the Biden impeachment and touted the strength of Donald Trump for the 2024 election in an interview on Sunday.

The California Republican sat down with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo where he made it clear that Hunter Biden will show up for the Biden impeachment when the time is right. Bartiromo pointed to Donald Trump Jr. being pulled in during the Trump impeachment in an extremely quick time, questioning why McCarthy hasn’t done the same.

“The one thing the American public has to understand is there’s a strategy behind everything, we only follow facts,” the House speaker said. “Hunter Biden will get subpoenaed, but when’s the appropriate time? Do you do it because television wants it or do you do it around the facts and the timing?”

“When Comer– I think we should have the bank statements to actually know where did the money go so you would know the questions to ask Hunter Biden. Just to subpoena Hunter Biden because you want to fundraise, that’s not how we’re running–” he continued before Bartiromo cut him off, asking about emails that showed Hunter complaining about paying the family bills.

McCarthy confirmed what the host asked, saying that those came from the abandoned laptop that was acquired but also noted how there were 5,400 more emails from Joe Biden himself that were under a false name that the House Oversight Committee has yet to get. He pushed for waiting until all the emails were gathered before subpoenaing Hunter Biden.

Bartiromo asked if more members of the Biden family would be subpoenaed and McCarthy seemed to say yes, though he wants to see physical evidence that links them to doing so first. He highlighted that the purpose of impeachment is to allow Congress the power to get the information that they need to proceed.

The California Republican also spoke extremely highly of Trump, claiming that the GOP candidate is stronger now than he has been in any other election when asked about him leading the polls.

“I think he will be the nominee and the thing is, President Trump is stronger today than he was in 2016 or 2020, and there’s a reason why,” he responded. “They saw the policies of what he was able to do with America– putting America first, making our economy stronger. We didn’t have inflation, we didn’t have these battles around the world, we didn’t look weak around the world.”

He also made a clear distinction between Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and Trump as candidates for president, saying that while he likes DeSantis, he is nowhere near the level that Trump sits at.
