Joshua Levy, who was tasked with stymieing the congressional investigation into Hunter Biden, has reportedly quit representing his infamous former client according to Breitbart News. Levy cited the infighting within his former client’s legal team and discontent with the legal strategy employed by Abbe Lowell, another lawyer for Hunter. Levy feared that many of the tactics used by Lowell could backfire.
Lowell notably in February elected to send Rudy Giuliani, Tony Bobulinski, and others cease and desist letters that acknowledged that the laptop was Hunter Biden’s. The letter called for an investigation into those aforementioned individuals “for whom there is considerable reason to believe violated various federal laws in accessing, copying, manipulating, and/or disseminating Mr. Biden’s personal computer data.” The letter also called for an investigation into John Paul Mac, the owner of a Delaware computer repair shop who claimed Hunter deposited his laptop there and never went back to retrieve it [thereby forfeiting ownership over said laptop], for theft.
As Mike Davis, the founder, and president of the constitutionalist advocate group the Article III Project, informed Breitbart News that “those letters were a ‘desperate, frivolous, and laughable’ effort that would hurt the family’s legal position because the lawsuit will lead to discovery, a legal process by which Hunter would be deposed on camera.”
Levy’s quitting has also reportedly triggered infighting among Hunter Biden’s legal team with the lawyer Chris Clark, the lead lawyer for Hunter, also now keeping a distance from Lowell. Breitbart News mused that “Hunter’s very expensive legal team has begun to crack just months into the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into the Biden family business.”
What is the White House’s response to all these negative developments for the president’s son? According to Breitbart News, ‘[w]hen Ian Sams, a White House spokesman, was questioned about Lowell’s involvement in Hunter’s legal defense and the ensuing team chaos, he replied that Republican investigations into the Biden family were “politically motivated partisan attacks” that “deserve to be called out.’” In effect, the response was to please ignore all the internal drama and please think that investigations surrounding tax fraud, illicit foreign influence, and other improper acts are just political games.
I suppose one should ignore that there are agents within the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), according to The Washington Post, who think that there is “sufficient evidence” to charge the president’s son. One should pay no heed to disturbing testimony from whistleblowers that the FBI had “within its possession very significant impactful and voluminous evidence with respect to criminal conduct by Hunter James Biden” and that Joe Biden knew about and may have been involved in some of his son’s business arrangements. FBI inaction since both declarations has led many to suspect that the agency is covering for Hunter Biden and his father rather than pursuing impartial justice.
