In New Speech, Trump Declares That The ‘Old Republican Party Is Gone, And It Is Never Coming Back’

In a new speech held at the Republican National Committee on Saturday evening, 45th President and leading 2024 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump declared that “the old Republican Party is gone, and it is never coming back.”

In his speech to the committee, held in Nashville, Trump emphasized his record of accomplishments during his first term and outlined his various policy proposals for a second term in the White House come 2024, according to Politico.

Trump emphasized his role in transforming the party in 2016 to a focus more on right-leaning national populism rather than the Republican Party during the Bush era saying that he “saved” the Republican Party from “the establishment class.”

“Republicans were a party known for starting wars overseas, cutting Social Security and Medicare at home, and pushing mass amnesty for illegal aliens,” he said according to a copy of his remarks obtained by Politico.

The leading Republican candidate emphasized his various policy proposals, as outlined in his “Agenda 47” videos, for four more years at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Amongst some of the policy points he promised, Trump said he would put an end to the Russo-Ukrainian War after being reelected. He also stated that he would wipe out the Mexican drug cartels on the southern border “just as we destroyed the ISIS caliphate.”

In addition, he said he would “totally obliterate the Deep State” by using the Department of Justice to go after rogue left-wing prosecutors, a policy proposal previously reported by the DC Enquirer.

Trump also called upon the GOP megadonors who attended the event to back him for the nomination in 2024 and to embrace early voting and mail-in ballots to win swing states like Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, and Wisconsin.

The 45th President has been dominating in the polls, both in the early primary states and nationally, and he ensured that his audience didn’t forget that. Throughout the speech, he read off several polls that show him winning handily.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Trump is leading the Republican field in Georgia by 21 points and has overtaken Biden in national polling in recent weeks.

Given Trump’s domination of the current Republican field as well as his increasing number of endorsements, with Sen. Ted Budd (R-NC) and Rep. John Rose (R-TN) being the most recent, it is likely that he will walk away with the nomination. His message to the RNC is forward-looking and presents a refreshing future for America.
