WATCH: Jen Psaki Suggests Chairman James Comer Is 'Co-Opted By A Foreign Agent' Amid Hunter Biden Investigation

On Sunday, former Biden White House Press Secretary and current MSNBC host Jen Psaki spoke with Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) where they attempted to claim that House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) had been “co-opted by a foreign agent” over his more aggressive actions as chair of the committee. 

Comer has been much less lenient with the Biden administration since taking up the chairmanship earlier in 2023. The committee has held numerous hearings in the past week from looking into the budget of the Department of Defense to listening to the IRS whistleblowers in the Hunter Biden foreign money scandals.

During the MSNBC interview, Psaki asked, “How concerned are you that James Comer, the chairman of the committee, was knowingly, unknowingly, working with– co-opted by a foreign agent.”

"I am just concerned that the House Oversight Committee, which has a very proud history, is suddenly being compromised in a really serious way,” Raskin, a member of the Oversight Committee, responded. “Our legitimacy is being eroded by the tactics adopted by Chairman Comer."

"There are real issues that are confronting our people," Raskin continued, "and [Republicans] are off on this wild goose chase related to Hunter Biden and Joe Biden, and their main witnesses are people who are fleeing justice in America," referring to Luft.

Raskin and Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY), a fellow member of the House Oversight Committee, sent a letter to Comer attempting to warn the chairman that he had been “duped” and requested “all materials and information” that Luft had provided the GOP investigators with. 

“There are real issues that are confronting our people and they’re off on this wild goose chase related to Hunter Biden and Joe Biden, and their main witnesses are people who are fleeing justice in America,” the Maryland representative claimed. 

Comer provided a response to the New York Post where he lamented on Psaki’s interview with Raskin and noted how if Luft was to be considered untrustworthy, “then why should we trust the Bidens, who also received money from CEFC?” 

“It’s not surprising that MSNBC and former White House press secretary Jen Psaki peddles lies and intentionally fails to mention that the Bidens received an exorbitant amount of money from the same CCP-linked company that paid Gal Luft,” he said in response to the interview. 

“Hunter Biden and Joe Biden even planned to share an office with this CCP-linked company, CEFC. Hunter also claimed that his father was in the room when he demanded payment from a CEFC associate,” the Republican noted. “Gal Luft is a credible witness to the Bidens’ influence peddling schemes because he too was getting paid by the same shady company.”

Greg Shapley, the first IRS whistleblower, is set to testify before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday to discuss the IRS investigation into Hunter Biden. The hearing will also reveal the name of the so far anonymous second IRS whistleblower.

It seems that in the interview, both Raskin and Psaki pretend to be wholly unaware that while they attempt to claim Comer has been “co-opted by a foreign agent,” the sitting president has more than likely been co-opted himself multiple times based on the monetary exchanges behind the scenes. Of course, they only want to attack the right and have no interest in finding their precious Biden accountable for any illegal, treasonous action that he may have committed during his time sitting as vice president. Hypocrisy is the blood of the left so it is to be expected now.
