WATCH: Jen Psaki Covers For Biden In Embarrassing Moment After Hunter Indictment - 'Right Now This Is A Heartbroken President'

Jen Psaki is attempting to pull on the heartstrings of the American people to distract them from Hunter Biden’s brazen crimes, saying on Thursday the indictments against the younger Biden would be leaving a “heartbroken president in the White House.”

As previously covered by the DC Enquirer, Hunter Biden was indicted on Thursday by Special Counsel David Weiss on three counts related to a 2018 purchase of a firearm. In the purchase, Hunter lied on the form, indicating that he was not a drug addict despite knowing that he was one.

But Hunter Biden has nothing to fear as former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is more than ready to jump in the line of fire for him and clarify that Hunter is just a poor, sad addict, one that most Americans would have to understand.

“I mean, we have to have a rule of law. It’s such a relief to hear that from people, including when it's about somebody who is very close to the president,” Psaki said on air. “I mean, first and foremost, the politics of this are very hard to predict, but right now you have the president's son, somebody he loves deeply. Somebody that has very publicly struggled with drug addict now facing these charges which are serious.”

“What is tricky to watch here and what I think we will all be watching is what will Republicans do with this on the hill as it relates to their impeachment process baloney efforts,” she continued. “We didn’t see a lot of that yesterday– a lot of the tying of these charges to their impeachment efforts. If there are additional charges that we see from the Department of Justice that [a co-host] alluded to, I suspect they would try to do that.”

“But right now what we’re looking at– and I think on the politics of this, millions of Americans have dealt with family members who have dealt with drug addiction, who have dealt with alcohol addiction, who have dealt with a range of addiction," she said. "My bet is right now this is a heartbroken president in the White House who is worried about his son and we’re all watching to see kind of what happens with this.”

So far the Biden administration has not given a full response to the indictment of Hunter Biden but is expected to do so soon.
