Christian Actor Jim Caviezel Reveals Disney Attempted To Cut Out God From 'The Count Of Monte Cristo'

Famous Christian actor Jim Caviezel revealed that when working with Disney on the movie The Count of Monte Cristo, the studio attempted to remove all instances of the word God from the film. Disney even doubled down whenever Caviezel complained about it, openly mocking the actor’s Christian faith.

Caviezel is currently promoting the Mel Gibson film Sound of Freedom, mentioning the details of his interaction with Disney in one of his interviews.

“When I did The Count of Monte Cristo, they wanted me to remove the ‘God’ from all of the script. True story,” Caviezel said. He explained that he had agreed to do the movie after initially reading the script and loving it, but upon arriving in Ireland for the shoot, all references to God had been removed.

The specific scene he references features his character in the movie, Edmond Dantes, carving the phrase ‘God will give me justice’ in his prison cell wall to show how long he had been in captivity.

“So I had to make a decision. I’m not ashamed of God or anything but I’m in an embarrassing situation and I had to say ‘No, I can’t do this,’” he recalled. “Right is right, wrong is wrong. For the love of my fellow countrymen, I cannot betray them.”

The situation didn’t end there, with Caviezel claiming that the Disney executives responded by saying “‘Oh, you’re one of those,’” obviously mocking his Christian faith. He finished his story stating that Disney backed off after he stood his ground, adding that others needed to be “strong Christians like that.”

The story certainly isn’t surprising as Disney has openly attacked the morals of Christians for a long time. The company has clear favoritism for liberal ideas and values and works hard to promote them despite whatever negative financial result follows.

Of course, while Disney pushes these liberal values in America, they’re more than happy to push whatever ideals the Chinese Communist Party wishes to show off in their nation, showing just how two-faced and shallow the entire corporation is.

God is likely an intimidating presence for those who actively pursue lifestyles completely devoid of Him and His ideals which nearly every executive Disney would have to be doing. No God-fearing person could ever actively assist a corporation pushing anti-Christian ideals en masse like Disney and walk away proud of themselves.
