'This Is Insane. And Also Illegal': Jim Jordan Exposes Biden's Collusion With Facebook To Censor Americans' First Amendment Right - 'He Wanted Facebook To Kick People Off'

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) has revealed through his third release of the "FACEBOOK FILES," posted to X App and also reported by Fox News, that the social network platform under the parent company Meta definitively worked in collusion, and potentially under the coercion of the Biden White House, to censor any dissenting voices regarding the COVID-19 virus, vaccines, or lockdowns.

In a series of posts to X App, Jordan wrote, "Newly subpoenaed internal notes of meetings between Facebook executives and Biden Admin officials reveal more about the lengths the Biden White House wanted to go to control true speech on Facebook."

He explained, "In 2021, the White House wanted to control what narratives and true content was posted on Facebook surrounding #COVID19."

As previously reported by DC Enquirer, he recalled that President Joe Biden publicly accused the platform of "killing people" by allowing the publication of dissenting information regarding COVID-19 in July 2021.

Following the debacle, President Biden’s then-director of digital strategy reportedly applied direct pressure on Facebook on a repeated basis to "explain its content decisions.."

According to internal communications obtained by Fox Business, Flaherty asked a fateful question: "Since it’s a global pandemic, can we give agencies access to targeting parameters that they normally wouldn’t be able to?"

Jordan pointed out that, in particular, Flaherty and the Biden White House were very interested in targeting the New York Post, already familiar to them thanks to the Biden laptop scandal, as well as The Daily Wire and Tomi Lahren.

Specifically he writes, "Flaherty questioned whether Facebook was doing enough to reduce traffic from sites like the @nypost. I’m curious – NY Post churning out articles every day... What is supposed to happen to that from Policy perspective. Does that article get a reduction, labels?”

He added, "But that wasn’t enough for the Biden White House. Flaherty wanted Facebook to go a step further. He wanted Facebook to kick people off its site."

Flaherty wrote, "Intellectually my bias is to kick people off." He stated it was his "dream for FB to play ball," and most alarmingly the Biden White House specifically asked if Facebook could "change its algorithm" causing users to see "NYT, WSJ, any authoritative news source over Daily Wire, Tomi Lahren, polarizing people."

This revelation in particular caught the attention of Daily Wire's Candace Owens who posted to X App, "This is insane. And also illegal."

Jordan asked rhetorically, "Why did they do that? Because they didn’t think you were smart enough to decide for yourself."

He pointed to a message dated April 5, 2021, "President Biden’s head of strategic communications and public engagement for the #COVID19 response, Courtney Rowe, mocked Real America’s ability to determine what's true and what isn’t."

She wrote, "How do we work with you all to push back on it. If someone in rural Arkansas sees something on FB, it's the truth."

Jordan wrote that Facebook then acted, it "knew it had to act." An employee cited by the congressman explained that if Facebook couldn't "remove" the offending content, it could at least "contain it."

But Biden wasn't satisfied and Flaherty told Facebook that it needed to conduct more content moderation. He wrote, "we're keen on what platforms are doing to reduce the spread of bad information, that platforms are not funneling people towards bad content. That's our primary concern."

Rep. Jordan concluded the thread, "And of course, Facebook caved. The company ADMITTED to the White House that it reduced content of certain posts – even if the posts didn’t violate the company’s terms and contained TRUE information."

"These newly subpoenaed meeting notes continue to show the Biden White House’s desire to direct and control content on Facebook. More evidence of the censorship-industrial complex."

The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee added "To be continued..." The notion that even more damning evidence that the Biden White House blatantly acted unconstitutionally to coerce a private company to violate Americans' First Amendment rights on its behalf is a chilling one. But all the more troubling will be if that administration is permitted to remain in power.
