Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH), Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, once again endorsed his support for 45th President Trump. Mr. Jordan proclaimed that he was “100 percent for Trump” in 2024 in an interview with Fox News Digital.
Representative Jordan reasoned that “No one has demonstrated that they will do what they said and get things done like he did, and he did it with everyone in that town against him. And that’s what I still respect about President Trump, and I’m for him all the way.” Mr. Jordan added that his endorsement of Trump did not mean that he did not have positive vibes about other prospective candidates. The Ohio politician emphasized that he respected and was friends with all potential Republican candidates for the White House.
“I just talked to Vice President Pence,” Jordan said. “Great guy … Governor DeSantis, a great guy. When we formed the Freedom Caucus, there were nine of us. He was one of the nine. But I am 100% for President Trump.”
Chairman Jordan also mentioned the need for a Republican victory in order to defend the 2nd Amendment from erosion. Jordan explained that he “always tell[s] folks the Second Amendment is right next to the first for a reason. It’s darn important, and we need to understand that and not let the left continue to chip away because ultimately they want to get rid of it. But whether it’s the crazy red flag laws, whether it’s what the ATF is doing with the pistol brace rule, on and on it goes. They keep chipping away, but their end goal is to get rid of it, and we got to stop it.”
New BOMBSHELL Evidence Blows Up Alvin Bragg’s Case Against Trump
Jordan added that “You can’t meet them [anti-gun Democrats] in the middle because we just fundamentally disagree. Our Constitution fundamentally disagrees with where they want to go. And again, I think people with common sense and logic understand that these tragedies are terrible. We wish they never happened. But the answer is not to take firearms away from law-abiding American citizens.”
Representative Jordan mentioned that the Republican House was exploring legislation blocking a new rule from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive (ATF) that prohibited pistol stabilizing braces.
The Ohio federal lawmaker has staunchly defended Mr. Trump during his current legal scuffle with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D). Mr. Jordan has characterized Bragg as a politically motivated prosecutor and wants to provide oversight on the nature of federal assistance that Mr. Bragg has received to conduct his witch-hunt of the former Republican president. On that score, he noted on Twitter that “According to the New York Times, ‘the hiring of an outsider is a highly unusual move for a prosecutor’s office.’ But Bragg did it over and over again. All to get President Trump.”
