WATCH: Biden Climate Envoy John Kerry Claims Greenhouse Gases Are The Real Problem With The War In Ukraine

Former Democrat presidential candidate and current Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry made the absolutely absurd claim that the problem with the ongoing war in Ukraine isn’t that people are dying in a pointless war but instead that the war was releasing too many greenhouse gasses and accelerating climate change.

Kerry made the claim on Monday at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom while accompanying the president for a ceremony for King Charles III. A forum was hosted to discuss clean energy strategies for countries around the world.

"When you have bombs going off and you have damage to septic tanks or to power centers, et cetera, you have an enormous release of greenhouse gas of methane, all of the family of greenhouse gasses," Kerry said in an MSNBC interview. "And the result is it's adding to the problem."

“The fight in Ukraine is a fight that we have to make, that the world has to make. The values at stake are enormously important to all of us. So I’m not suggesting by any fashion that this is not a fight that we shouldn’t be involved in but I am saying that there are ancillary impacts as a result of it,” he added.

The claim would seem like a parody at first glance but is somehow the actual opinion of a high-ranking official of the Biden administration. The war in Ukraine has had many problems, from the seemingly endless fights against an insurmountable enemy without properly backing up Ukraine, to most recently sending cluster bombs to Ukraine to use against Russia after previously condemning Russia for using them, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer

Liberal logic somehow states that rather than a major problem being the hundreds of thousands of lives lost when proper intervention or complete impartialness could have prevented that, instead the greenhouse gasses are the big problem of the war. Kerry’s claims are both disrespectful to those who have lost their lives in the war and also utterly embarrassing for the American population that has to watch a government official blabber about utter nonsense to the entire world.

There is a laundry list of issues with the war in Ukraine but something that doesn’t even begin to be considered on that list is global warming. The most important part of the war should be ensuring it ends as soon as possible with as few lives lost as possible, not ensuring there are fewer gasses released into the atmosphere.
