Climate alarmist John Kerry caught major flak on social media following comments he made at a climate summit attacking the agriculture industry for its contribution to emissions.
"Agriculture contributes about 33 percent of all the emissions of the world, depending a little bit on how you count it, but it’s anywhere from 26 to 33, and we can’t get to net zero, we don’t get this job done unless agriculture is front and center as part of the solution," Kerry said in a clip from the summit which has since gone viral. "You just can’t continue to both warm the planet while also expecting to feed it. It doesn’t work. So, we have to reduce emissions from the food system."
Such a senseless attack on the backbone of the country of course wasn’t going to skate by without garnering admonishments from Republicans. Though spouting utter nonsense is the calling card of the Democratic Party, when someone says something so utterly ludicrous, people will notice.
“Nothing to see here. Just hypocritical Dems wanting to bankrupt every farmer in America….,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
“These people are sick bastards. I introduced legislation to defund this clown. But that’s just for show unless Republicans as a whole decide to fight instead of laying down while the very freedom they campaign on is under assault,” Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) tweeted. “John Kerry wants the American people to starve with his War on Farming. I will vote to eliminate his office and stop the Democrats from going after farmers, which the leftists are doing all across Europe!” Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) wrote. “Missouri's farmers and ranchers are the backbone of our state. I will not stand idly by while the Biden Administration vows to destroy American agriculture,” Attorney General Andrew Bailey (R-MO) tweeted. It wasn’t just Republicans in government positions that called out Kerry for his statements in the clip either. “The 21st century monsters are vastly more murderous than the 20th century monsters. This is call for genocide. Call it what it is. John Kerry is a genocidal madman and should be treated as such,” Jesse Kelly, a popular conservative talk radio host, wrote. “No food For the peasants. Are you paying attention yet? @ClimateEnvoy Is not on your side Or that of your swarms of filthy children Cluttering up the pristine ‘environment,’” Dr. Jordan Peterson tweeted. Farming is one of the most sustainable practices, something that humans have been doing for thousands of years with nothing but positive effects. To suddenly come for the practice in the name of ‘global warming,’ as those reducing farming and increasing production of synthetic food will improve things, is utter hogwash. The statement from Kerry is simply a continuation of the calls to curb global warming overlapping with attacking everyday Americans and their professions. Perhaps if the left actually started discussing good talking points instead of attacking hard-working Americans, people would respect what they have to say.
