WATCH: Kamala Harris Humiliated After CNN Calls Out Her Blatant Lie About Ron DeSantis' Florida - 'Completely Made-Up'

Vice President Kamala Harris' ultra-polemic rant against the educational standards of Florida netted her unexpected pushback from CNN commentator Scott Jennings on Sunday, along with a predictable smackdown from Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

Speaking at the Ritz Theatre and Museum in Jacksonville, Florida on Friday, Harris claimed that the Florida State government is replacing "history with lies" through its recent approval of a new state-level curriculum.

"They want to replace history with lies," she said. "Middle school students in Florida to be told that enslaved people benefited from slavery."

DeSantis was quick to reject her comments as "absolutely ridiculous," and "totally outrageous" and invited the press and the public to examine the curriculum which contains "the most robust standards in African American history."

CNN's Scott Jennings even lambasted the vice president for her comments saying, "What is amazing to me [is] that how little Kamala Harris apparently has to do that she can read something on Twitter one day and be on the airplane the next to make something literally out of nothing,"

He added,

"This is a completely made-up deal. I looked at the standards, I even looked at an analysis of the standards, in every instance where the word slavery or slave was used, I even read the statement of the African-American scholars that wrote the standards – not Ron DeSantis, but the scholars."

"Everybody involved in this says this is completely a fabricated issue and yet look at how quickly Kamala Harris jumped on it. So, the fact that this is her best moment, a fabricated matter, is pretty ridiculous."

Kevin Tober of the Media Research Center shared the video in a post on Twitter.
