WATCH: Kristi Noem BLASTS Ben & Jerry's For Anti-American Fourth Of July Tweet - 'I'm Not Going To Listen To A Bunch Of Liberal Vermont Businessmen'

Governor Kristi Noem (R-SD) is firing back at Ben and Jerry’s after the ice cream brand made the idiotic tweet on the Fourth of July that America is on “stolen and indigenous land” that needs to be returned to the tribes it formerly belonged to, specifically pointing to the land that Mount Rushmore sits on.

The official account for Ben and Jerry's tweeted out an infographic alongside the text, “This 4th of July, it's high time we recognize that the US exists on stolen Indigenous land and commit to returning it. Learn more and take action now,” attaching a link to their website. Their website goes even further, claiming there is a problem with “a good parade, some tasty barbecue, and a stirring fireworks display,” all because America was built on stolen land, according to them.

Since the Fourth of July tweet, parent company Unilever has also gone on to lose over $2.5 billion in market share following the controversy, per the DC Enquirer

Noem appeared on ‘Fox & Friends’ over the weekend to defend the state she represents as well as the massive monument that is housed within it. The Republican lawmaker did not hold back at all when leveling her frustration with the ice cream company.

“I'm not going to listen to a bunch of liberal Vermont businessmen who think they know everything about this country and haven't studied our history. Right now, Mount Rushmore is the greatest symbol of our freedom and history of the United States of America,” she said. “We can learn from the men on that mountain. We can do better. But, boy, they led us through some challenging times. And I think Americans in this country need some inspiration, and we can gain it from a monument like that. We should be proud of America and knock off what Ben & Jerry’s is doing. They don't have any idea what they're doing.”

Noem’s frustration echoes that of many other conservative Americans who have become frustrated with companies attempting to push a liberal agenda through their products. From Bud Light to Target, it seems like countless businesses are attempting to shove wild beliefs from transgender ideology to anti-American sentiments into a field that it has no place being – consumer products.

The purpose of a business should always be to sell the product. If there is ever any agenda it should be pushing, it should be one to unify its consumers. Pushing divisive ideas into products isn’t just bad for business, it’s also morally wrong. These companies should be sticking to whatever trade they do and stay out of politics.
