Kyle Rittenhouse revealed on the third anniversary of the incident that brought the then-17-year-old fame that he is once again returning to the courthouse, this time being sued by a firm representing the estate of Joseph Rosenbaum, one of the rioters he shot from the fateful night.
Rittenhouse shared an article from Texas Scorecard on his X (formerly Twitter) account where he discussed the newest lawsuit being leveraged against him. The suit is against not just Rittenhouse but also Kenosha officials, the local sheriff's office, the city of Kenosha, the city of West Allis, and numerous counties, asking for “compensatory and punitive damages” for the claimed “wrongful death” of Mr. Rosenbaum.
The suit claims that Rosenbaum “was among many who protested peacefully” and that “Rittenhouse fired his assault rifle indiscriminately multiple times at citizens on the street.” Rittenhouse previously went to criminal court for the death of Rosenbaum where he was found not guilty on all charges including a murder charge. The claims made by the lawyers representing the Rosenbaum estate have already been proven false during the 2021 trial, making the move seem both frivolous and vindictive. The lawyers representing the estate are requesting a jury trial for conspiracy to deprive constitutional rights, conspiracy to obstruct justice based on invidious discrimination, as well as First Amendment retaliation. "These lawsuits are making it harder and harder for me to move on with my life," Rittenhouse told Texas Scorecard. "It is extremely difficult to go outside without fear of being harassed or assaulted because of the lies spread in these lawsuits. No one should have to continue to defend the fact that they acted in self-defense." Rittenhouse himself is currently partaking in another lawsuit, suing numerous organizations and individuals for slandering his name during the trial, per the DC Enquirer. He pointed to the success of Johnny Depp’s suit against Amber Heard as a pushing force to encourage him to pursue the lawsuit, something he had sat on for many months. Unfortunately, despite Rittenhouse wanting to move past the incident that has shaped his life, others wish to continue to drag him and his name through the mud until they are satisfied. Losing a loved one is never a happy thing but attempting to pursue someone that the justice system has found innocent until you’re satisfied is simply morally wrong.

If the Commiecrats can't win then they make your life miserable with endless baseless lawsuits. It's another example of the misuse and abuse of our legal system. It's all on film and there's no basis for this lawsuit, it's just greedy commies trying to capitalize off the death of an idiot that shot first. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
