‘You Are Free To Leave Buddy’: Lebron SLAMMED on Twitter After Anti-America Comments

Former NBA player and activist Enes Kanter Freedom scolded fellow basketball star, Lebron James, for his controversial remarks about America earlier this week — claiming the Lakers Forward is taking his personal freedom for granted.

DCEnquirer had previously reported on a trailer for Lebron’s new HBO show, “The Shop” which dropped on Tuesday, where he claims America had mismanaged WNBA Star Brittney Griner’s incarceration on drug charges in Russia. He also said she might not want to come back into the country at all, following her ordeal.

Lebron quickly walked back his comments, however, on social media — causing Kanter to post a savage rebuttal saying, “You call it a step back, we call this a walk back. You are free to leave buddy or you can even volunteer for an exchange for her.”

“Some people literally have NO idea what is it like to live in a dictatorship. Keep taking your freedom for granted,” Kanter concluded.

Lebron’s exact quote during the HBO trailer was, “Over 110 days, now how could she feel like America has her back? I would be feeling like, ‘Do I even want to go back to America?'”

Lebron’s walk back was even more shocking, as he claimed his comments were not a knock against America — a nation he considers to be “beautiful.”

“My comments on ‘The Shop’ regarding Brittney Griner wasn’t knocking our beautiful country,” he tweeted. “I was simply saying how she’s probably feeling emotionally along with so many other emotions, thoughts, etc inside that cage she’s been in for over 100+ days! Long story short #BringHerHome.”

Kanter, an immigrant to the U.S. from Turkey, values his liberty. His passport to his native country was revoked partly due to his adherence to free speech, Vox reported. After becoming a US Citizen, he even changed his last name from ‘Kanter’ to ‘Freedom.’

Unlike Lebron, Kanter is not afraid to put his money where his mouth is. He was a vocal opponent of authoritarian China at NBA games, which undoubtedly hurt the league’s performance in their second-largest market — perhaps even leading to Freedom’s expulsion from the league, per The Washington Post.

Kanter-Freedom’s bravery should be applauded. While so many in the sports world have succumbed to WOKE culture, he still stands for the American dream — and it’s a dream worth fighting for!
