LISTEN: Trump Reveals What's 'More Important Than Anything Else' During Elon Musk Interview

After overcoming a cyberattack on X.com's servers, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump joined X owner Elon Musk for a highly-anticipated conversation between two of the most powerful men in America. The discussion, which lasted over two hours, has been listened to by hundreds of millions of people and is the first time that Trump has returned to the platform since he posted his mugshot last year.

The X Spaces discussion was wide-ranging and covered a swath of issues, from the state of the race against Kamala Harris to the southern border, inflation, solar power, electric vehicles, and much more. However, one discussion topic gained particular attention after Trump revealed that Americans nationwide long for the American Dream.

"People in America want to feel excited and inspired. They want to feel like the future is going to be better than the past. That America is going to do things that are greater than what we've done in the past. Reach new heights that make you proud to be an American and excited about the future," Musk said.

"They want the American Dream back. It's more important than anything else. You don't have that today because the people, they've just sucked. They see incompetent people running our [government]. You know, the Biden thing is very interesting. People just found him to be incompetent. And when I debated him, I was like, is this for real?"

"Yeah, it's just absurd," Musk replied. According to X, the discussion between the two men has gained around a billion views, taking into account the active listeners on the Trump-Musk call and the various clips shared by accounts across the social media network.

"Between 7:47 PM and 10:47 PM ET, President Donald Trump's Space post received 73 million views. During the same period, there were 4 million posts about Elon Musk and President Trump's conversation on 𝕏, generating a total of 998 million views," the social media network explained

The conversation between Musk and Trump was likely an eye-opening experience for millions of voters who either have tuned out politics or are undecided about who they will vote for in November. The discussion was the most direct way for voters to hear about Trump's policy priorities, and its large reach could impact the independent voters still deciding on which direction they want the country to go on November 5.
