Liz Cheney Makes Desperate Move To Save Her Tattered Legacy

On Wednesday, former Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY), who lost her seat to Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) in 2022, is making a last-ditch effort to cash in on her failed legislative career and attempt to repair her tattered legacy as the lead of the biased, Democrat-led Select Committee on the January 6th Capitol Riot.

According to Axios, Cheney will be releasing a book, titled "Oath and Honor," that will be releasing on Dec. 5th. The book cover, which describes the book as "A Memoir and a Warning," features a picture of Cheney during a committee hearing.

The former lawmaker's book, which is 384 pages in length, is described by the publisher as a "A gripping first-hand account from inside the halls of Congress as Donald Trump and his enablers betrayed the American people and the Constitution–leading to the violent attack on our Capitol on January 6th, 2021—by the House Republican leader who dared to stand up to it."

"In the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump and many around him, including certain other elected Republican officials, intentionally breached their oath to the Constitution: they ignored the rulings of dozens of courts, plotted to overturn a lawful election, and provoked a violent attack on our Capitol," the publisher writes as the book's description. "Liz Cheney, one of the few Republican officials to take a stand against these efforts, witnessed the attack first-hand and then helped lead the Congressional Select Committee investigation into how it happened. In Oath and Honor, she tells the story of this perilous moment in our history, those who helped Trump spread the stolen election lie, those whose actions preserved our constitutional framework, and the risks we still face."

While Cheney was in Congress, she was one of ten House Republicans who voted to impeach 45th President Donald Trump. Following the impeachment, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) established the January 6th Select Committee chaired by Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MI) and vice-chaired by Cheney. Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) also sat on the committee. He, like Cheney, left Congress in 2022.

As Cheney continues to attack President Trump and attempt to salvage her legacy, her new book will likely fail to impress. Cheney was willing to go along with the biased Democrat-led investigation into the January 6th Capitol Riot and proved her willingness to aid Democrats in order to serve as a pawn for the left.
