The news cycle over the past two months has been remarkably interesting. How so? Well, it has been dominated by maverick figures on the left side of the aisle. And we, for one, are grateful for anyone who is willing to follow the truth where it leads — no matter their party.

Indeed, these are not your ordinary leftists. They are willing to buck trends whenever possible. That is if the evidence is clearly on the Right’s side — as it so often is.

People like Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, Tulsi Gabbard, and as we are reporting today, Bill Maher, are praiseworthy for their honesty and openness.

They represent the best of the liberal ideal — that is, an openness to evidence, empirical or otherwise, and a focus on the free and informed individual as the focus of society. The Left has moved past these classical liberal concepts in favor of a noted illiberalism.

The Left knows what they are doing. They are no longer following the playbook of Locke or Mill. Instead, they are following the playbook of Marx and his cronies. As we will see, part of this Marxist playbook is a certified “ministry of truth” — a concept that baffles the mind.

Bill Maher is known for his spirited attacks on the Christian faith. He has often belittled conservatives like Ann Coulter on his show — including this famous moment where she predicted Donald Trump’s eventual win in 2016. All in all, Bill Maher is no conservative, and he detests the party of Reagan.

But “Real Time” host Bill Maher has something most Democrats lack — common sense. And his common sense has directed him to attack a new bureau in the DHS — the Disinformation Governance Board, something many playfully call the “Ministry of Truth”. There is now bipartisan opposition to this terrible institution, and Biden and company may want to walk back some of their rhetoric surrounding the bureau if they want to succeed moving forward.

Here is what Maher said on his Friday show:

“The Disinformation Governance Board… Yes, the [its opponents] are right to compare this to Orwell, and the Ministry of Truth.”

Donald Trump is plotting his comeback to Twitter and Facebook. Should he do it?*

Then after mentioning two (apparently) legitimate uses of said ministry, he went on the offensive

“Disinformation is defined as false information that is deliberately spread with the intention to deceive or mislead. Well, you could have said that about ‘If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.’ You know, if you didn’t like that…

Government should not be involved in telling us what’s true or not true… My follow-up question is ‘who do you think is going to be the Truth Czar in 2025?'”

He also attacked the Truth Czar, Nina Jankowicz, for pushing forth an idea that there needs to be an ability to ‘edit Twitter’ and add context. He maintains that’s just what Twitter is.

He ended with an absolute truth nuke. He knows what will happen in 2024. And he sighs in the realization of its inevitability: “these are not bright people in our government”

No, Mr. Maher, they are not.
