WATCH: Matt Gaetz Corners FBI Director Christopher Wray, Quotes Hunter Biden's Message To Chinese Associate Demanding Money

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) completely embarrassed FBI Director Christopher Wray in the House Judiciary hearing after reading aloud the text messages from Hunter Biden’s WhatsApps that were sent to threaten a Chinese businessman to send money to the younger Biden.

Gaetz read aloud the texts which stated “I’m sitting here with my father. I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.”

Wray, as seems to be his intent with every question that is asked of him at this hearing, avoided the question, though this time more blatantly than ever. The director replied simply with “I’m not gonna get into commenting on that.”

The Florida representative wasn’t happy with Wray simply ignoring and moving on from the messages, prompting Gaetz to ask whether Wray and the FBI are “protecting the Bidens?”

The FBI official said that he was “absolutely not” protecting the Biden’s but Gaetz questioned why he would be unwilling to answer the question about the messages if he was not intending to protect the Biden family. The Florida representative noted how Wray, completely avoiding the question, answered it, revealing that the FBI was intending on protecting Hunter Biden and his father from accountability.

This isn’t the first time Gaetz has pushed for answers on the Hunter Biden scandals. Back in August of last year, the Florida congressman submitted Hunter Biden’s supposedly lost laptop into the congressional record to prevent government officials from avoiding discussion on it, per Gaetz's official House.gov page. The assistant director of the FBI’s Cyber Program, Bryan Vorndran, had stated that he was not aware of the location of the laptop after it had been scrubbed from the FBI’s database.

Gaetz clearly isn’t satisfied with allowing Hunter Biden to avoid facing justice for the numerous crimes that he has committed using his father’s authority as both president and vice president. If the justice system allows for top-ranking members of the government to protect their families from facing proper prosecution for their crimes, there’s something wrong with it.
