Should He Even Be In Congress?: McCarthy Takes Aim At Adam Schiff Following Durham Report Revelations - It 'Raises A Question About Adam Schiff'

In a Tuesday press conference, Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) made a decisive statement about holding Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) accountable for objectively lying to Congress and the American people throughout the Russian collusion investigation as well as the first impeachment of then-President Donald J. Trump.

As reported by Forbes, a reporter asked McCarthy, "Speaker you had pledged, if the GOP takes the majority in the house, that you would investigate the findings of the Durham investigation. Now that the report has been released, what does accountability look like?"

He began, "Well, a number of things we're, we're asking Durham to come in and testify so we can look at it more," before taking aim at Schiff.

"It really raises the question about Adam Schiff. You remember when he told the American people he had proof? Remember when he told 'em he didn't know the whistleblower and what he put America through and openly lied to us, and now it's proven in this as well. It raises a lot of questions about his, just his character, his standing inside of Congress, or whether he should be even be in Congress."

BREAKING: REP. ANNA PAULINA LUNA SUBMITS HOUSE RESOLUTION TO REMOVE REP. ADAM SCHIFF FROM CONGRESS

As subsequently reported by the DC EnquirerCongresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) has submitted a House Resolution to expel Representative Adam Schiff from the body. The Durham report revealed that Schiff took a much more active role than many of his Democrat colleagues in forwarding the false narrative about Trump by attempting to convince public university researchers to investigate the fictional ties between the Trump Organization and Russia’s Alfa Bank.

Schiff was already removed from his powerful post as presumptive Ranking Member of the House Intelligence Committee in January 2023 after chairing the committee under Democrat leadership due to his repeated attempts at deception to remove Trump from office.

Luna explained her charges via Twitter, sharing the resolution that read, "Schiff lied to the American people. He used his position on House Intel to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars. He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives."

Schiff who recently announced a 2024 Senate run to primary Sen. Diane Feinstein, attempted to refute the devastating Durham probe findings in an appearance on MSNBC Tuesday.

He wrote, "The Durham investigation was flawed from the start. It began for a political purpose - to satisfy Trump. It resulted in two spectacular failures at trial. And ended with nothing to show for four years of effort. Bottom line: FBI had a good reason to investigate - Durham didn’t."
