Michelle Obama Whines About Fairness Following Affirmative Action Ruling While Aboard Massive Private Yacht

If anyone was unsure just how twisted the logic of the left is, it was discovered that while Michelle Obama was tweeting a statement about how affirmative action being removed takes away opportunities from minorities, she and her husband, former President Barack Obama, were drinking on a private yacht in Greece.

Affirmative action was struck down by the Supreme Court on Thursday as it was found to violate the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer. Leftists have since been up in arms about how the removal of affirmative action will now create an unfair playing field, favoring whites when it comes to college admissions.

One of those people was former First Lady Michelle Obama who released a lengthy statement on Twitter. In the statement, she discussed how she was “one of the few Black students on [her] campus” and how hard she had to work to get into her school. The statement then discussed how the students who got in with affirmative action belonged at the schools, basically claiming that the schools would have denied them entirely if not for their race.

She then claims that because people can hire coaches to help them qualify for athletic scholarships or tutors to help them study, there's a definitive money advantage, but specifically an advantage for white people. Michelle never specifically references race during the statement, but considering that’s all of what affirmative action is about, her intent is clear as day.

The last paragraph reads “So today, my heart breaks for any young person out there who’s wondering what their future holds – and what kinds of chances will be open to them. And while I know the strength and grit that lies inside kids who have always had to sweat a little more to climb the same ladders, I hope and I pray that the rest of us are willing to sweat a little, too. Today is a reminder that we’ve got to do the work not just to enact policies that reflect our values of equity and fairness, but to truly make those values real in all of our schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods.”

A real from-the-heart statement, but instead of actually coming from the heart it came from a private yacht in Greece. The entire time Michelle is whining about how our current policies don’t “reflect our values of equity and fairness,” she is sitting on a yacht that only the one percent of the one percent will ever get to see, much less climb aboard.

Perhaps if Michelle really wanted proper equity and fairness, she and her husband could have given up their seat on that yacht to an underprivileged ethnic family that’s had to “sweat a little harder to climb the same ladders.”

It’s nothing surprising from Michelle Obama though, as she and her husband used his entire presidency to push the idea that America is an inherently racist country. They never once saw the irony of calling a country racist all while sitting on top of it, but asking a leftist to see logic is about as easy as asking a fish to walk.

NOT a MO supporter, but stop discounting someone’s opinion based on where they are when they express it. We are try to make this out to be a “let them eat cake” moment and it isn’t. Does anyone really expect a former President and First Lady to be living like a pauper? They ARE NOT like the rest of us (R,D,I, etc.) and we need to stop complaining about their lifestyles after WE elect them. They are no different now than they were 20 years ago, they just happen to have more money now.
