Multi-Billion Dollar Non-Profit Abandons Woke Harvard Following Pro-Hamas Letter - 'We Are Stunned And Sickened'

On Monday, the Wexner Foundation, a multi-billion dollar non-profit, officially ended its relationship with Harvard University after 30 student organizations signed a Pro-Hamas letter that blamed the Israeli government for the brutal attack on October 7th that saw over 1,300 Israelis and 32 Americans massacred.

As reported by Fox News Digital, the foundation, which is closely connected to billionaire L Brands founder Leslie Wexner and his wife Abigail Wexner, informed Harvard via letter that they would be severing ties with the institution. The Wexner Foundation focuses on building Jewish and Israeli leadership, with the Israeli Fellows program created by the foundation at Harvard being a central program for the organization.

The letter explains that the foundation initially chose to support Harvard more than three decades ago thanks to its support of diverse populations and world-class reputation and faculty. However, throughout the years, they gradually noticed that the reported diversity and acceptance were not being extended to Jewish students. This was particularly relevant after Harvard President Claudine Gay failed to take a strong position against the Pro-Hamas students on campus.

"We have observed that this cherished tolerance for diverse perspectives has slowly but perceptibly narrowed over the years," the foundation explained. "A disappointing consequence of this trend is that our Wexner Israel Fellows are increasingly marginalized, their voices and views even shouted down."

"We are stunned and sickened at the dismal failure of Harvard's leadership to take a clear and unequivocal stand against the barbaric murders of innocent Israeli civilians by terrorists last Saturday, the Sabbath and a festival day," the organization continued. "Since then, many of our Israel Fellows no longer feel marginalized at HKS. They feel abandoned."

"Other university presidents have said precisely what we should have heard immediately from President Gay: 'What Hamas did is evil and there is no defense for terrorism. This shouldn't be hard.' [Ben Sasse, President, University of Florida]," the Wexner Foundation noted.

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, the 30 student organizations explained in an open letter following the October 7th attacks that the "apartheid regime" is to blame for the attack.

"We, the undersigned student organizations, hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence," the 30 student groups wrote.

"The apartheid regime is the only one to blame," the students wrote. "Israeli violence has structured every aspect of Palestinian existence for 75 years. From systematized land seizures to routine airstrikes, arbitrary detentions to military checkpoints, and enforced family separations to targeted killings, Palestinians have been forced to live in a state of death, both slow and sudden."

Due to these statements, Ivy League students not only faced backlash from employers, resulting in some losing job offers but also from former Harvard President Lawrence Summers, who wrote following the publication of the letter, "In nearly 50 years of [Harvard] affiliation, I have never been as disillusioned and alienated as I am today."

"The silence from Harvard's leadership, so far, coupled with a vocal and widely reported student groups' statement blaming Israel solely, has allowed Harvard to appear at best neutral towards acts of terror against the Jewish state of Israel," he explained.

As progressive Ivy League students show their true colors to America, many parents are considering the worthiness of these institutions to educate students. As donors, non-profits, employers, and parents abandon Ivy League schools, their reputations as revered institutions of higher education will leave with them.
