A poll released by CBS News and YouGov, despite being weighted in favor of Biden supporters, has revealed that even with Democrats supporting the effort to indict the 45th President Donald Trump, a wide majority of 59 percent believe the indictments and investigations are all "An attempt to stop Trump's 2024 campaign." An overwhelming 86 percent of Republicans are of the same belief.
As reported by Breitbart News, 63 percent of Trump voters polled believe that the indictments constitute “an attack on people like [them].” That view is shared by 56 percent of Republicans overall and more than a third of independents.
CBS reported, "There are some differences within the GOP, though: it's MAGA-identifiers who see the indictments as an attack on people like them. But nearly all Republicans feel the indictments are an attempt to stop the Trump campaign."
In an equally telling question from the CBS/YouGov poll, 68 percent of Republicans believe that President Joe Biden did not win the 2020 election legitimately, while 97 percent of Democrats believe he did.
As Breitbart noted, over 38 percent of Americans overall feel that the charges against Trump are motivated by politics while nearly half, 49 percent, believe he either planned to stay in office “through legal and constitutional processes” or that he “did not plan to stay in the presidency beyond the end of his term.”
CBS and other outlets are pointing to many of the poll's results as a window into how the American people view Trump's "alleged actions per se," despite the poll weighted favorably toward Biden voters, Democrats, and left-leaning independents.
However, one question that cuts across party lines is that "Generally speaking," those polled "feel things in America today are going..." either "Somewhat badly" or "very badly" by a wide margin of 70 percent. It's a truly devastating result for incumbent President Joseph R. Biden as he seeks to hold onto the White House for four more years.
The assessment that the nation is in bad shape held by over two-thirds of the American people at any other time in American history would likely spell certain defeat for any incumbent presidential campaign. Worse still, the view by so many Republicans that his administration is actively attacking Trump supporters makes the picture even more grim for Biden.
According to YouGov, "The CBS News/YouGov survey of 2,145 adults in the U.S. was conducted between August 2-4,2023. This sample was weighted according to gender, age, race, and education based on the U.S. CensusAmerican Community Survey, and the U.S. Census Current Population Survey, as well as 2020Presidential vote and 2022 Congressional vote."

Even the Democrats know Biden didn't win the election and they certainly know 81 million votes was a Lie. They just don't care because they finally got what they think was a win. It Wasn't.
