Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has surprised many in political circles by breaking away from the single-digit pack in the Republican 2024 presidential primary polls and surpassing career politicians like former Vice President Mike Pence (R-IN) and former Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley (R-SC). The astonishing surge could be from the fact that he is the only candidate who openly supports 45th President Donald J. Trump, making an effort to specifically not attack him.
Startlingly, Ramaswamy is starting to catch up to Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL).
According to Echelon Insights, Trump still sits at the top of the polls with 49 percent assailed by no one else in any serious fashion, comfortably leading DeSantis, who sits at 16 percent, in a nearly insurmountable 33-point advantage. But trailing only six points behind DeSantis and definitely in striking distance of the Florida governor is none other than Vivek Ramaswamy at 10 percent, trailed by Pence and Haley tied at five percent of the vote.
Ramaswamy, as previously reported by DC Enquirer, shocked many politicos when he vociferously came to the defense of the 45th President, leading him to butt heads with Dana Bash on 'State of the Union With Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.' In a moment covered by dozens of outlets, he publicly signed a pledge to pardon Trump in his ongoing case surrounding the documents seized from Mar-a-Lago and demanded all other GOP candidates follow suit.
In a press release cited by Fox News, he said, "The use of police force by a sitting U.S. President against his chief political rival in the midst of a presidential election sets a dangerous precedent in our country."
"No one should be below the law either, yet there are now two standards of justice depending on your political viewpoints," the candidate added. "That’s the single greatest threat to our constitutional republic today."
As reported by The Washington Times, he called out his opponents, “Whoever among us is elected, our job of reuniting the nation will become daunting — if not impossible. I condemn these charges by the U.S. Department of Justice.”
Ramaswamy was even more direct via Twitter, writing, "I challenge every US Presidential candidate to join me in standing for TRUTH. Commit to pardon Donald Trump for these federal charges on Day 1, or explain why you won’t. No one should hide. Not Biden. Not DeSantis. Not Haley. Not Pence. Not RFK. Not Scott. Not anyone. Principles over politics."
Pence has very notably refused to say if he would pardon Trump, claiming, according to Breitbart, that it is "premature" to discuss it.

I think Vivek is very intelligent, however we need a not only intelligent leader but a proven success and president Trump is that person. However, I think Vivek would right now be a strong vice president or secretary of defense or even secretary of state..
